Easy to setup and better than expected performance
The media could not be loaded. I have to say I was skeptical at first of buying this and even more skeptical when I received it because of how small and lightweight the pump was. I figured there was no way this little pump is gonna produce any legitimate amount of water out of a 130ft well. I was wrong but more on that later.Setup:For me the setup was fairly easy, I know the well will produce more than I can pump and I am pumping into a 1 acre pond rather than a tank so I did not bother with any of the level switches that turn the pump on and off based on well or tank level. It was just splice the wires together (I used a well splice kit from Menards), hook up the drop pipe (I used 1” poly pipe for potable water usage), connect a safety rope and drop it in the well casing and hooked it up to the solar panels. The only hiccup I had here which maybe the manufacturer can correct is that the tags on the pump cable (w, v, u) were not correct and made the pump spin backwards which results in the impeller unthreading and popping out. We switched one set of the wires at the controller and pushed the impeller back in and then when the pump started it re threads the impeller back in as it is spinning the correct way. I would recommend putting the pump in a 5 gallon bucket and starting it up briefly to ensure it is spinning correctly and pumping water. This would have saved us from having to pull the pump back out of the well after the initial startup attempt. Regardless it didn’t damage anything or cause too much grief so I am not docking it any stars for that.Performance:This little pump has exceeded my expectations. The pump curve they supplied seems to be accurate and maybe even a bit conservative in how much flow you should expect. The water level in my well is right at 130ft below ground and this pump is able to fill a 5 gallon bucket in under 1 minute (5.85 gpm). The controller also has worked well for my application as it shuts off when the sun isn’t shiny and runs on and pumps when it is shining. I am using 8 x 100w solar panels and still only get max rpms for about 4 hours a day. So if you think you can get by with 500w of power you will likely be disappointed. From what I can tell the controller tries to maintain ~70-75 volts by adjusting the pumps rpm’s up to 4000rpm.There really isn’t great instructions on any adjustments or settings changes on the controller to adjust really anything. I tried to press the “settings” button and it just give like a p-0 message that you can adjust but I have no clue what I am adjusting so I just least it alone. It has performed well out of the box with the default settings.Overall, it has been good so far for the money. The well company wanted to charge me 7500 for a solar pump setup so for the tots cost of this system I have saved a lot of money and still get good performance out of it.

Reliable and Powerful Solar Pump!
We installed this 500W DC 48V Solar Water Pump a month ago, and it has been working flawlessly. The pump delivers great pressure, and on sunny days, it provides plenty of water. If you're in an area with frequent cloudy days, consider adding batteries for continuous performance. The installation was straightforward, and everything worked as expected. We’re so satisfied with it that we’re buying another one as a backup since we live in a remote area. We’re also looking forward to upgrading to the new MPPT controller with WiFi once it becomes available.A huge plus has been the amazing customer service! Every time we’ve had a question, they’ve responded quickly and helpfully. Cathy has been especially great—super responsive and knowledgeable. It’s reassuring to know that support is always available when needed.Highly recommended to anyone needing a powerful, efficient, and reliable deep well pump, backed by excellent customer support. We will definitely recommend it to our neighbors!

buy a pv disconnect swith to install with it.
It work, but the controller has no memory from day to day. it comes on as soon as there is power to it, and pumps at full capacity. you can set it to throttle back the speed of the pump, but once it looses power and regains it the next day, you will have to set it again. I ended up purchasing a solar disconnect switch to use with it so that I can have better control over when it pumps.my only other complaint is that when it is cloudy there is not enough power to the controller for the pump to pump... it would be good if the controller could accept a higher DC input voltage without getting messed up. I'd like to run 3 solar panels with it, but the voltage would be to high on sunny days.

Better than expected! Love this pump!
Incredible pump! Decided to go solar over fixing my windmill pump. Glad I did! Used 2 400 watts solar panels and runs at max rpm even with minor cloud cover.

Impressive pump and great customer service
The media could not be loaded. Pump works great.Customer service is great. Here is my setup.Pump:1830 ft of ¾ pex pipe that pumps into a storage tank.About 180ft ft or more total elevation. We are pumping from a sistern.Power3s2p 100w solar panels4x 12v deep cycle batteries. (48 volt system)1 charge controllerI needed a solar powered pump, that was high head. We tested the pump on the solar panels in the summertime and it ran with no issues. When we got the pump installed during the winter months, we had alot of prep work to do. The solar panels did not get enough sun, due to tree shade and clouds. That is when I hooked up the batteries. I contacted customers services, on what was the best way to wire everything up. They responded quickly what the best practice for wiring it up.When I ran the pump, to check it would pump I measured a little over 1 gpm, the pump was running around 2800 rpm. While I was finishing up the installation and getting everything set in place, we had alot of rain, come in and soaked the panel. I contacted customer service once again for support on getting a replacement. Once again they replied quickly and are helping me get the part I need. I was impressed with how quickly they responded and helping me get my pump running again.I am truly impressed with this pump and customer service. If someone was asking me what they needed I would look to see if this pump would work for them.*I did hook up a golf cart charger to top off the batteries at night in case the panels could not.*

Had to up the voltage.
Unit is set at 320 feet below surface. Had to increase voltage at the control unit so i would have 48 volts by the time it ran through 360 feet of wire. Now working fine.
