I like it!
So, we just got new cabinets installed and our countops will be installed on Tuesday. We got water damage in our older cabinets and decided to just upgrade. However, I bought this product to help prevent water damage in new cabinets because I'll be damned!, ya know?I had the cabinets installer measure for me and he advised it was 34 1/2 by 22 1/2. When I bought this product I knew some adjustments would have to be made. I couldn't decide between this product or the Famous Rhino brand. So, I bought both. I figured let me try them both out as far as fit and material. What ever I don't like, I'll send back. This product ALMOST fit without cutting. I must say, I'm no carpenter and I don't do this type of stuff, BUT I did it! If I can....you can! I figured I need to cut an half of inch off. When I eue balled it, I knew one full inch would be too much. So, I grabbed a carpenter blade and tried cutting. Umm no. Not gonna work. I need something with power to make it easier. Oh snap, my wife bought a Drumel several years ago. I found it in garage and dusted it off. I got a ruler, made a 1/2 in line as straight as possible and the drumel cut that thing with ease. And on my first try, this product fits under my sink like a glove.I like this product over Famous Rhino because it has a thicker Grove going around the mat to hold more water. However, we decided to keep the other mat (Famous Rhino) to stack our wet dished on top of it instead of using a towel. Yes, we used a towel under dish rack, 'ol school. But, we think the other rubbery feeling mat would worker better for catch wet dish water.Great product. If you need to cut, I say use a power cutting tool. Make cut a lot easier.

Good quality; understand details before ordering
This under-shelf tray arrived quickly and undamaged. It was well packaged; it even has a kind of cling-wrap coating to protect it from scuffs that you peel off to reveal the shiny surface. This is a good quality item. It is a pretty sturdy material. Our base cabinet has no vertical mullion in the middle front, so the tray went in easily. If you do have a mullion, and the counter is installed, you will probably not be able to get it in in one piece, as it has limited flexibility. It fit well. All our plumbing is from the wall; if yours comes up from the bottom of the cabinet, and pipes are not very close to the back wall (i.e., behind the back ridge of the tray), the holes you will have to put in this thing will partly affect its function in containing drips. Since our cabinets are face-frame, I had to cut small pieces out of the front corners to accommodate the frame. I found a fine hacksaw worked well; I first tried a utility knife but it didn't work. The only very minor complaint is, since the front lip rests on the raised face frame, there doesn't seem to be any sloping to the front. If we had a catastrophic leak, I'm not sure it would drain to the front as advertised. But even if it did, water would probably seep under it in the front and the cabinet would be hosed anyway. It will handle drips of harsh chemicals and wet stuff very well, so I'm happy with it and recommend it.

No more water damage
The leaking of multiple Badger 5 garbage disposals and the age of my house - eventually almost wore a hole under my kitchen sink. I was so sick of the leaking and the damage and the smell that I decided that I would never have to go through this again! I researched and researched - not only garbage disposals but how to stop the water damage if it does ever leak again. This was the best thing I could find. We bought this a garbage disposal and a dishwasher all at the same time. My handy man installed everything. We bought the Waste King disposal - also from Amazon. I measured and measured over and over to make sure this rev-a-shelf would fit. My handyman removed the old mdf board from the bottom of my sink first. It was so worn out - he did not even need a saw! He replaced it with quarter inch plywood. Then he cut this rev-a-shelf to fit. It was easy to fit he said. Not much cutting was needed. Cutting only needed just for the pipes in the back of the base cabinet Then, we decided to Lexell all around the edge of the cabinet. This will ensure that water does not get under this shelf. There is room for the piece of wood that goes between where the front closes on the cabinet. The fit was almost perfect and very easy to work with he said. The grooves make the water stay on the shelf - unless there is too much to hold - then it will go out the front of your cabinet instead of rotting the base. To be on the safe side - I kept my two water sensors that I had placed there when there was a weekly leak of water! I feel so secure with this system now. It has been in place for a month now and even though I still check for leaks (old habits!) It is reassuring that any leaks can be soaked up and no damage will come to my base cabinet. The key here is the measurements. Make sure to measure everything. Not just the perimeter - but where your pipes are. If you have an older house, it is harder to find the right size. I eventually did. And I hired someone who knows what they are doing. I am sure that helped too. I am thinking of doing this to my bathrooms too! I highly recommend this product!
