A true adventure
This has so many different projects that you can do with your kids although you have to prepare scenarios in advance. You can’t just open the box and start. It needs a little preparation on the front end.

Nice kit
This crime scene kit was nice.We really like science kits. I would much prefer them doing something than watching something. Science is such an important subject, and I really like that they can learn about it.It is nice because they can spend the time doing it. They are excited when they make something themselves. They love to make new discoveries. This is a great activity for a rainy day or a day when your child is sick or when you are just stuck at home. It is a good way to keep a child busy.I thought it was age appropriate. It wasn’t too hard. The children really liked how it turned out.I feel like this is good for child development. It kept my children's interest. It would also make a nice gift.I would recommend it.

So many activities!
This set includes so many activities. Just be warned, you have to set up some crime scenes in advance for your detective. Some of the activities are rather time consuming. You can use some parts for multiple activities like the acid and base tests. I wish the kit would have included a storyline for a mystery. This is more as a science or stem kit rather than a forensics kit. However we still enjoyed completing the tasks. For reference, by daughter is 10 and in the gifted program. The vocabulary and concepts are pretty advanced for an 8 year old in my opinion which is the age recommendation of the package.
