McNallyGGB Gig Bag for Strum Stick, Key of G

I shopped around and was admittedly tentative about making this purchase, but was too curious to see if I'd love it so I gave in. Mind you, I have no musical background and have never taken a lesson in anything instrument related in my life. (Those two years in 5th and 6th grade when I played trombone don't count...) But after some time "enjoying the noise" - a phrase coined by the creator of this that describes how to just strum away as you learn it - I felt like I was really playing. Pretty cool for someone like me who has always envied those who can just pick up a guitar and jam out. I won't be holding any concerts or gaining any audiences for my skills, but I did spend some time with it enough to create my own little original tune - one I played for my spouse on our anniversary. There are plenty of free app's that can help you keep it in tune (which is doesn't need often) so don't bother buying an additional tuner. For someone who never spends money on instruments, it seemed like a big purchase but I was glad I got it! Others in my family get curious whenever I play and enjoy strumming away and being able to hit pleasant chords each time with the easy fingering on the frets.

The ad says the case is black, and the photo in the ad shows a plain black case with a small red tag on the flap. The case I got is navy blue with strumstick.com written in large yellow letters across it. It seems to be of good quality construction, but I do not want to be a walking billboard if I am taking this somewhere, so I returned it and will try to make a bag for it. At least update the ad for both bags to show what the buyer is really getting.

This is a very sturdy strum stick bag. Quality item.

This case does not fit. It is three inches too short. I was surprised but I cannot use it and need a larger one by 11/17. The strumstick measures 31 inches and so does the case, not the 34 inches as described.

My boyfriend and I fight over this instrument because it is so much fun to play. It's also small and easy to take along in the gig bag to parties and on camping trips for our "jam sessions." Love the Strum Stick.

As described. Would have liked just a smidgen more room and a pockey maybe to hold the pick. But it does the job.

Well made, however the hard case would offer better protection.
