Solid mic! no complaints. ACtually, I have been really impressed for the price. Its so funny the people griping about this being internationally sourced. 99% of everything you seen on amazon is NOT made in the USA.I bought this because I'm a huge fan of Fulltime Filmaker (Parker has been Awesome). I have respect for the many years of professional filmmaking that went into sourcing this mic, these guys know what's out there and how this stacks up (go check out parker walbeck's lav mic comparison on youtube). I also know these guys will stand behind this product. Being a beginner i had a little question on getting this to work with my DSLR, their gear@fulltimefilmmaker support line got back to me within an hour and worked with me until i got it working on my end. GO with any competitor at this price point and not a chance i get all that.

My husband recently ordered two of these mics. He does videography with his iPhone and shoots our Pastor's mid-week lessons for FB. He had some issues with the initial usage of them. He assumed they didn't work cause the Filmic Pro app didn't give the option to use LAV mic in the audio settings. So he reached out to support and they gave him a few things to do to trouble shoot the problem. If your using this mic with your smartphone you HAVE to keep the switch on the smartphone ("off") setting and not flip up to camera setting. It's natural to flip a switch up to turn something on, but not this device if your using a smartphone. From my conversation with my husband this is a common problem people have even though its written clearly on the device. Once he figured that out he had great sound through Filmic Pro and the native camera app. Thanks FTF Support! Great product!

Definitely feel duped. This is nowhere near the quality advertised. I am fairly well versed with audio and video equipment. The mic is not sensitive enough to pick up audio and attempting to bring the volume up in post leads to a lot of noise.

I get that the cord is long so you can stretch frontalent to camera, but it’s so cheaply made that it tangled like fishing line. The plug is made for a phone so it’s like a plug with a mic and stereo contacts “3 lines” didn’t work well in my tascam recorder. Plugged into my Fuji XT-3 it worked sometimes but sometimes had weird static which was seemingly random. By the time you either test record or plug in headphones and check audio etc it really isn’t wipers it. Sound quality is good when everything is working. Not much better then my Rode shotgun mic.

I needed this for a Kickstarter video and it delivered perfectly! I’m not quite done editing the video but the audio is perfectly crisp and clear. If you have done a Kickstarter you know funds are precious. I’m really pleased with this based on the price vs quality.I also liked knowing this is from a trusted videographer and not just some random company. Parker is one of the best out there. Been following his videos for a while. Knowing he made this gave me much more confidence that this was a good quality product. Hopefully he comes out with more products soon!

Works perfect, I’ve been using on EXT shootings and sound is good. A good choice will be have the option to change the cable because is too large and sometimes get a mess with them

The mic clip broke on first attempt to attach the mic. Seller should encourage manufacturer (if not the same, or implement change if the same) to consider a less rigid plastic material for mic clip to ensure better customer experience. I have had a similar product purchased with an Olympus device for over 5 years with no issues, likely due to flexibility in product structure.

So wish I had opened these right away instead of setting them aside & not realizing they totally sucked until AFTER the return window had closed! I purchased Parker’s course & its GOLD, so I got these simply off his reputation & didn’t think I would have any issues. So first they would not work with my DSLR or my computer at all - even though I went through all the trouble shooting info I could find (and I do have batteries installed, all that) I sent an email for help with no response after almost a week.. So I figured I would purchase an adapter so that I could make it work with my iPhone. Welll guess what?? This mic is WAYYYYY worse than my iPhones mic! Ugh! So frustrating!! This mic is super muted sounding compared to myiPhone PLUS is picks up TONS of background noise from OTHER rooms in my house, that the iPhone mic does NOT pick up! I will insert a video to show the sound comparison! It’s so bad , like I’m shocked!
