sweet and easy
This is wonderful. The larger birds have difficulties climbing in because roof is too low for them. Prevent the larger birds from throwing the food out of the container.

Small for a bluebird feeder
PROS:Very sturdy--has survived high wind gusts.Nice size bowl for meal worms. Two prongs for orange halves or other fruit. Our Carolina wrens found it right away and visit the meal worms numerous times a dayNice clear baffle to shield from rain. Don't know if it's large enough to discourage a squirrel and I hope it's never tested!CONS:I was hoping that it would attract our bluebirds, but I think that the structure of the feeder is too small for bluebirds (or other birds of that size) to duck under the baffle and feed on meal worms. I've never seen a bluebird even approach it. But we love seeing the Carolina wrens feeding from it, so it's not a total loss.

Great idea
I broke mine putting it together, so used JB Weld, so far works well. Good size for meal worms or jelly. Like that its covered. Just not as steady as it should be.

Birds love it.
Pretty light weight. Doesn’t withstand wind very well. On third day the wind blew it off and plastic hood broke. Had to superglue it back together. Blue bowl didn’t break though.

Works fine, I removed the prongs for the fruit
I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before ordering this because I might not have bought it then. This one had everything I wanted: a dome larger than the bowl (to act as an umbrella), a nice perch ring, and some blue to attract bluebirds. The only thing I didn't like was the prongs to hold on fruit/suet. That's not really what bluebirds want and they were just kinda in the way so i snapped them off and filed it smooth. I had bluebirds on it within minutes, so all in all, mission accomplished! I had no trouble putting it together, everything fit, nothing was stripped or broken. It's a little on the cheap side, feel wise, but for the price and the features I'm not complaining. It does the job and that's what matters!

Dish size two small
You have to refill frequently and critters can knock it out

Nice little feeder
The spacing between the baffle and the perch allows big birds in to dominate the feeder. If you want to limit to smaller birds, this is not the feeder for you.

Impressive for the price
I was a little hesitant to buy this from the mixed reviews but I am very impressed! I was looking for a feeder that kept out water and was easy to clean if it did get wet. My last “water-resistant” feeder would get soaked and was so hard to clean. This one actually, surprisingly, has stayed dry! I picked it because it looked easy to clean and so I wasn’t even expecting this level of wateee-resistance. It’s been up for a couple months here in rainy Florida and I haven’t had to clean it yet, the seed has stayed dry. With the price point, I was expecting a plastic feed cup but it’s actually glass, which is great because it weighs the feeder down and keeps it sturdy. The birds (mostly cardinals) have adjusted well to the feeder and have no trouble with it. I haven’t used the pegs yet. It was a little tricky to assemble and took some time with the rubber bits but all in all, I love this feeder, especially for the price!

Good and not so good
Though the images suggest that this feeder is for seed, it is actually an oriole feeder. The grape jelly container is the glass bowl and the mounting prongs on the frame are to put orange halves on.The problem with the glass bowl is that it can fall out when it's windy or when critters are tampering with it, so it's important to find a way to secure it so that it doesn't fall and break. I used the plastic cover for the glass bowl and put it in the feeder frame first then put the glass bowl into the plastic - it created a very snug fit.The orange halves stay on the frame quite well and the clear cover allows the orioles to see the orange colour so it's attracted to the feeder. When I was assembling the frame, some of the weld wasn't particularly strong, so one of the fasteners came off. I have had this same problem with other feeders of this type, so I used electrical tape to secure both sides where it attached and it has fixed the problem.I have only given this product 3 stars because of the weak welding and the loose fitting glass bowl, but once you find a way to solve these problems yourself, you will have an attractive and durable feeder.

Birds use it a lot
Orioles love it and we see so many, they love the oranges & grape jelly. We've even had rose-breasted grosbeaks eating the grape jelly
