My daughters, knowing I'm a Battlestar Galactica fan, purchased The Viper for me for my birthday and I love it!It brings back great memories.

As a whole, it was a nice build. for 35 bucks, I got 8 hours of entertainment in a nice looking viper to look at. Now if I was the engineer of this project, I would have done something to hold the wings better. they are a little sloppy. And I definitely would have put something inside the engine intakes so it doesn't look unfinished. It just looks like it's missing pieces. a little fan blade part would have worked. damn near anything except the empty space. But as a whole. it's nice to look at. It was worth the Gamble.

Excellent model

Several missing pieces. I luckily had extra pieces from other sets to complete it. The Viper's blasters did not fit properly nor did the three rocket thruster pieces. Eventually had to glue these pieces on.

The directions on this are a lot like legos...only the manual is online only and printing it didn't help me differentiate from the color of dark gray and black bricks. I had to take it apart a couple times because the instructions sucked.

Got a Black Friday deal on this set, but it took 3 months to get everything right as shown in this picture. The original shipment had missing pieces and pieces in the wrong color, most notably the 6 cylindrical engine parts. Even though it took two additional shipments (at no cost to me) to get everything right, the sellers stood behind their product, responded quickly to my emails, and sent the parts I needed to properly complete the build. While not up to Lego quality standards, it holds together fairly well (as a display piece, not a toy for play!) and is a decent recreation of a Colonial Viper...although the review posted before mine was correct, the guns do need to be glued on to stay in place. If you are a big fan of Battlestar Galactica and construction sets (and patient!), I would say it is worth the extra effort to be able to add this to your collection.

After reading the reviews for this item, I decided to take a chance on it. And yes, it was missing a few pieces. Good thing I had a surplus of parts from other builds. It was fun to build. It did have its challenges when pieces didn't want to cooperate but those are the challenges you overcome. Brought back memories of watching the original Battle Star.
