Bonafide Hardware - Replacement Part Compatible with iPhone 6s 4.7 Camera Lens Back Glass (Silver)

So I'm giving it 4 stars for poor directions and the fact it likely isn't as fine of glass/crystal as the OEM.So, the deal is that this lens cover on the rear of a 6S phone (unlike a 6) is electro welded onto a bracket on the inside. I believe it would be very difficult to pull it off using the razor blade trick you see youtube by "jerryrigeverything" Heat would be of no help either.Instead, I opened the case and followed any video here or guide on ifixit for replacing the camera. Once the camera removed, its you versus this spot welded bracket. I didn't want to damage the bracket. So, I took a tiny screw driver from my tool kit, and a hobby size hammer (see photo) and then placed the camera on the table so that only the corner with the broken lens is hanging off.Note the the spot welds are only on the sides of the lens (none at either top or bottom) - see red arrow in photo. I then placed the screwdriver on the inside flange of the damaged lens right at the point where a side weld begins (see red "x"). After about 12-20 medium taps, the weld began to separate and I was home free.You then use a little bit of glue that some of the videos show for the iphone 6 and reassemble. So far so good. Any apple authorized repair center will tell you that they can only do a complete phone replacement for this repair as Apple doesn't approve this technique. Thats a shame, you can trash your screen, but this tiny lens they won't repair.Good luck.

Ordered the lens for a 6s, lens does not fit. Diameter of lens is too large.Very disappointed, the build quality and glass seems much better than other vendors, but it just does not fit.

Carrier wanted to charge me for a new phone because my camera lens cracked, I ordered this with some glue and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Very clear, just as good if not better then the lens my Iphone came with. 10/10
