Tough material but not as clear as I suspected it might be
Purchasing an oversized pool cover, was a good choice because I cut it to form fit our kidneybean-shaped pool. . The material is quite sturdy but I presumed it would be more clear. However, when the water touches the plastic, it tends to clear up. a clear one is supposed to heat up the water a little faster but definitely a lot faster than a dark blue one which would shade the water, to help cool it off, when the water tends to get too hot, in the summer. With that in mind, I always spend a little more for a product to get a higher quality, thereby saving money in the long. But this was still a very good price and equally a very good product.

The worst pool cover I have ever had: bad workmanship, bad quality, fragile...
This is the worst pool cover I have ever had. For the last 14 years I have had pool covers on my pool in the summer. Quality has never been perfect, but never as bad as this product. The workmanship is bad in the sense that the segments have not been mounted properly when they were heat welded on the seams. This creates permanent unremovable deep wave/wrinkles that in turn cause water to pool and calcify on top of the cover in some areas, plus those large wrinkles will catch on the wind which regularly lifts part of the cover. I have never had this to this degree with any other covers before. Also a large portion of the bubbles are actually filling up with water as they are defective, punctured from day one. It is hard to put on number but I would say at least 30% of the bubbles are defective.Even though this is is the thicker 2400 (not sure what the unit is) thickness, it is very fragile and tears easily. I am going to take their word on the fact this is as thick as they claim it is, but I have never had any issues with tearing on day one with other brands such as Sun2Solar covers. It may be caused by the fact their bubbles are so small and dense that there is barely any plastic in between, but then it becomes a design issue. Basically even being careful with that cover, it is easy to damage it when putting it on and off the pool. With other products this only becomes an issue after a few months when the plastic has been baked by the sun a bit.The way they fold the cover is also annoying. Other brands will fold it so that when you try to put it on your pool for the fitting, you just need to get the end and it unravels for the most part. This one is folded on itself in a way that forces you to spread it partially, and then you have to unfold a third to a half of it, from underneath... very difficult and inconvenient. Finally I want to add, that last year I had bought the 1600 thickness because it was only for a short season and it was cheaper. I had all the same quality issues (so this is not a one off), and on top of it, it started delaminating 2 months after it was installed. I dismissed those worries then because it was thinner than the ones I usually buy, but now that I have the 2400 model, I can confirm that their quality is subpar, their bubbles poorly manufactured and too small to hold the weight of the cover. For the delamination we will have to see in the coming months. One thing is certain, I am never buying this brand again, and I strongly discourage anyone from buying it either. Yes they are cheaper than Sun2Solar, and they claim their smaller bubbles are an advantage, but the reality is you get what you pay for. The only thing I would say in their defense is that Sun2Solar quality has also been going downhill. My first two covers lasted 3 years, now they only last 2 years if you are lucky, but is still better than this brand... I will be lucky if it finishes the season in one piece and because many bubbles are defective, my pool is a good 8 degrees cooler than usual at this time of year.I hope this helps others in their decision.

Warms the pool!
I was quite skeptical about this as our pool is an odd, large shape. I bought larger so we could cut it. We plopped it on top to try, it does not fit perfect, and is rather messy. The important part, is within just 2 days the pool had warmed up significantly! From only getting my feet in, to be able to walk right in. HUGE difference! We get a lot of sun on the pool all day, so the blue really holds in the heat. The surface is warm, and underneath cooler, but once your move around, it's very pleasant temperature mix! This is a pool that takes about $400 to warm up & maintain as it's deep and up to 8 feet, so this is a miracle! We did not buy a wheel to retract it, so we are just moving it to the side for now. Not sure how we'll store for winter, but I'm very happy so far for Summer! And, it's MADE IN THE USA!

After 2 summers, has held up well and keeps my unheated pool warm
I have used this cover for 2 summers now and so far it has held up well and keeps my unheated pool water warm and from losing heat, especially in the evenings. As long as the outside temperature does not drop below 65 degrees, I can keep my 16x24 pool at about 82-86 degrees by putting this cover on primarily at night and removing it the next morning before my pool is in full direct sunlight during the day.The couple of negatives I have about this are1) When they cut this cover to the 24ft length, they were very sloppy when they trimmed the edges and did not cut the material off the larger supply roll in a straight line. The pool cover is slightly oversized and fits fine, but when it is rolled up and the long edge is hanging slack on the solar cover reel, the poorly cut edge is very noticeable. It is almost like the person closed their eyes when they trimmed it! It is just a little disappointing that the person could not have simply used a square to mark and trim the edge in a straight line. This makes me question overall quality control and how long will the three seamed pieces that make up the 16ft width will hold together over time.2) I had previously owned a standard "3 year" blue cover that was still in OK condition after 4 seasons. That being said, the clear cover definitely allows the sun to penetrate more efficiently and heat the water quicker and get it a little warmer than the blue one did, but this also allows Algae to begin to grow easier. Even if I keep my chlorine levels at the higher end of the scale. I have learned that for my situation, I can only leave the cover on 2-3 days max, depending upon how hot and how much sun we will have. This is not really a flaw of the product itself, but rather just a result of using a clear cover combined with 10 hours of direct sunlight and high air temps during the middle of summer.I will follow up on this review after I have had this cover for another 2 seasons to better offer feedback on its durability.

Excellent product. Exactly what we wanted
We were hesitant to purchase a pool cover on line for our in ground pool, having no experience with one in the past, but this is perfect. We ordered a tad wider than our pool, and long enough to cut the shape where the hot tub meets the pool.We used it for the first time when we were out of town for a week, and we were very happy to find a clean pool, with no leaves or debris, nice and warm ready to swim as we left it upon our return! We did have to do a little algae sweep, but that is something that we have to do every few days, regardless. We rate this a 10/10.
