This commercial-size Italian-made stainless-steel food mill strains or purees vegetables and fruits and mashes cooked fish or meat. The hand-crank blade sweeps, compresses, scrapes and crushes tomatoes or potatoes against one of the three cutting plates, retaining seeds or skin, pushing the flesh through the holes for either smooth or textured results, depending on the chosen cutting plate. The smallest perforations would create tomato sauce or a fruit coulis while the largest are needed for mashed potatoes or carrots. The sides and exterior handle hook to secure it above a cooking pot. The three cutting plates, with perforations of either 1/16", 3/32", 13/64" or 1.5 mm, 2.5 mm and 5 mm. are included.
