double sided tape could be better
this is a great product, that's already truly and well established. i was disappointed with the double-sided tape used in the back of tube guides, besides being white, it wasn't as sticky as it should be for the intended purpose and taking in consideration the price of the product itself, i was expecting a better attention to detail. in the end i bought some heavy duty automotive double-sided tape and solved the issue

Great product used them on many bikes
Great product, have been a regular user of Scottoliers in the past but always had them fitted. Thought this electronic version would be straight forward but got confused by the reservoir fitting being so different to the vacuum system and the online videos from Scottoiler were just as unclear. Got there in the end.

Will only last 8000 miles, then fail.
Definitely would not recommend.My e-system v2 worked for about 8000 miles.Really disappointed to be honest. The wires broke and frayed where they come out of the pump.I contacted scottoiler and after several emails, telling me the warranty was up, me being miffed that although it's a few years old, it's not even lasted 8000 miles and not 100% sure the pump is the cause. They agreed to look at it and test it.They've tested it and confirmed that it's actually the display (control until, that's faulty and can't be repaired, although the wires that broke on the pump is not going to last either.Anyhow been offered the choice of having faulty unit returned, or can buy the new v3 (ha, I don't think so)The v2 control was much better and simple.The v3 doesn't auto calibrate, you have to guess we they it's matched right to your engine, it doesn't display the number of 'drops per seconds' as a number, it has lots of bars you need guess how many bars equate to number of seconds. The oil fill level is now in fifths instead of quarters.Anyhow, regardless, It may make the chain last longer and auto oil it, but at nearly £300, and only lasting approx 8000 miles. It's cheaper to just put the cash towards a new chain sooner. I definitely can't recommend scottoiler at this moment in time.

KTM 390 Adventure
This system fit the bike very well. I mounted the dispenser in the center of a chain guide. This way it lubes the middle of the chain and is locked in place. The reservoir is located on the right side of the frame rail just under the plastics. This will make chain maintenance much easier.

Einbau einfach, funktioniert gut an Suzuki Bandit GSF 1250S
Ich hab mir diesen Scottoiler in der neuen e-Version v3.1 geholt, da mir der Aufwand mit Kettenspray und den notwendigen Reinigungsintervallen doch relativ hoch war. Bisher hatte ich an meinen Motorrädern unterdruckgesteuerte Scottoiler verbaut, nun sollte es mal einer mit elektronischer Steuerung sein.Die Installation an einer Suzuki Bandit GSF 1250S ist einfach und in maximal 90 Minuten erledigt, wenn man sich an die Einbauanleitung hält und sich vielleicht das Video zu Installation und das Video zu Entlüftung/zum Befüllen von Scottoiler e-Systemen anschaut. Zubehörseitig ist alles dabei, was man für den Anbau an einer Bandit benötigt.Direkt nach dem Einbau habe ich die erste Probefahrt mit ca. 150 km gemacht. Zwischendurch habe ich die Sensitivität von 4 auf 5 (von insgesamt 6) erhöht, so dass die Schmierung jetzt ab ca. 30 km/h beginnt statt erst ab 50-60 km/h.Dauerhaltbarkeit, Zuverlässigkeit usw. müssen sich natürlich im Laufe der Zeit erst noch beweisen, daher sind meine 5 Sterne erstmal vorbehaltlich. Wer es nicht eilig hat, sollte vielleicht warten, bis Polo oder Louis 20%-Rabatt-Aktionen durchführt, da der Preis mit knapp 290 Euro doch schon ziemlich happig ist.
