I have a 2014 Sony Bravia TV. I put the barriers in the remote, hit the power button and it instantly worked.

I bought this Universal Remote Control for my Mom's Sony TV after she kept complaining how the remote that came with her TV wasn't always working even after she changed the batteries. I took a shot at ordering this Universal Remote Control since it was suppose to work for her model of Sony TV & I wouldn't have to try programing it. When I received it, I tried it on my Sony TV right out of the box after putting the batteries (not included) in it & was very impressed. I gave it to my Mom & it also worked perfectly on her Sony TV too (different model # Sony TV's). Just have to lightly touch the controls & it works so perfect, I decided to buy one for myself. Never can have enough TV remote controls. Love it. I would strongly recommend it. Just make sure your TV model is listed in the description.

Just put batteries in and everything worked. Even more surprising is it already works on DirectTV. Only keys missing are Info and DVR (list on satellite remote). But I was able to use learn function for DVR button. Unfortunately my original remote had no Info button to learn. Definitely would recommend this and the cost was reasonable. I'm considering order another one for the wife. Only issue is it keeps losing connection to the direct TV

This replacement remote is wonderful in many ways, but one thing lets it down.The features, ease of use and out-of-the-box connectivity is first-rate, however, the luminescent keys are not really necessary or relevant in this day and age. Where this remote shoots itself in the foot is from a comfort standpoint. The angles on the back, along with the dimples towards the top are not pleasant. Whilst this does not affect the pure functionality of the remote or its value, it does detract for the want to actually use it for its intended purpose.

The labelling on this remote was at odds with other remotes I have used. I received a single small sheet of paper with no description of new or newly designated buttons on the device. I tried, unsuccessfully, looking for a manual on the internet to help in locating previously clearly marked functions. I was replacing an older remote whose mute button failed but otherwise performed fine. COULD YOU PLEASE SEND ME A MANUAL COVERING THE FEATURES OF THIS NEW REMOTE. I was surprised. When pressed the powder bottom the TV came on. No complaints. Great!
