Needed to crimp some powerpole connectors and these did the job perfectly. No need to buy expensive brand name crimpers unless you plan to crimp frequently. For small once and while jobs, these will work great.

I have used this tool to crimp 30 amp barrel-style and 45 amp flag-style Anderson pins. The flag-style pins needed a slight crimp with pliers before they would fit into the crimper. I don't know if this is just the fault of the pins I bought being slightly out of spec.In any case, all pins crimped properly using the appropriate position in the crimper. This appears to be a sturdy and reasonably well-made tool that is a good deal for the money.

I was hesitant about converting my power connections to power pole due to the price of everything, especially the crimpers. Since I've purchased these power pole crimpers, I've been converting everything over to power pole 15A and 30A. In ham radio, a good power connection can be the difference between making that long distance contact or not and these help. The guide on the side of the crimp head allow you to match the amperage build to the size of the crimping notch on the crimpers. Though be careful not to push the connector between the guide and the crimper, it bends the connector at a 90 degree angle and doesn't crimp anything. Other than my user error, this is a well made tool that has taken a few months of my abuse and hasn't bent or began showing issues.

It does the job, works well, easy enough to use. The plastic keeper that holds the crimp in place, does not hold them in the right place. It does keep them straight but they go in to far so you need to look closely and hold the crimp in the right place while you clamp down. I am happy with this tool since it was cheap and I did not want to spend a lot on something I don't use often.

I finally bought the "special tool" that makes life easy when making up powerpole connectors. In the past, I've borrowed a friend's actual Anderson crimper, but I've always thought "Oh well, I can do these with pliers and they work ok". If you are thinking the same way, spend the $ here and get these crimpers.I just made up some jumpers and power feeds for a project using 24 connectors. This device makes nice crimps and makes it SO EASY! And, I can't really tell if the Anderson crimpers were really any better. At about 50% more $$.Do yourself a favor and just buy it - you'll thank me later!

After carefully researching, i opted for this tool for crimping power pole connectors. it has a plastic cup to push the power pole connector into for the correct positioning before crimping. the crimp die has the sizes for your typical power pole connectors. if you have ever used a ratcheting crimper, then I can say this is exactly s you would expect, .. works well at a good price.

Makes a perfect crimp when assembling Anderson Poerpole connectors.
