We tested this unit with many different adults with different body shapes and proportions. Women, men, dancers, gymnasts, aerialists, yoga teachers. All of them had exactly the same problem with this unit with many reporting knee joint pain after first use!!This unit has a major design flaw in that the point at which it applies maximum pressure to spread the legs is almost perfectly centered on the medial meniscus (part of knee joint), which is the absolute worst place you can possibly apply force to.We are not testing this on disproportionately tall people. The picture shown is representitive of almost every person over 5' tall. The only possibility we can think of is this was designed exclusively for children or an adult user under 5' tall.The point of contact where spreading force is applied is supposed to be on either the thigh above the knee joint or on the lower leg between knee and ankle joints. Concentrated force should NEVER be applied directly perpendicular to any joint.From our testing, the only users that this would be suitable for are children, or users under 4'11" average (or those with dispropotionately short legs).We tried some other versions "designed for western users" and ALL of them had this issue. Some other units had longer leg boards that go on bottom of the lower legs, but the problem with all of these units is the location of the short pads that apply the spreading force.We are not even talking about weak gears, quality issues, etc. This is a MUCH more serious risk of using this unit than losing some money when it breaks.Let us know if you found this information useful, and if it would be helpful to you if we share our modification for these units that fixes this particular issue.

The machine broke the 1st time I used it . When I turned the wheel , There was a loud snap and the legs stopped moving. As shown in photos , the gear broke off of the large screw so it does not turn anymore. The machine does not work and will have to be returned .

This machine worked exactly one and a half years, the bearing was crushed, balls started to fall out of it, the gear teeth were worn down and the teeth started to jump over each other. You could spin the wheel as much as you wanted, but the legs wouldn't move. Hi

The item was damaged. So they refunded part of the price. Then it broke after minimal use and I have had a real Hassel getting my money back. The customer service person texted in broken English but we had a hard time communicating.

I was really looking forward to using this. Could not get it to work. Called a friend who is a trainer and martial arts instructor who puts things together for gyms all day. He worked on it for an hour and could never get the gears together to move the legs apart or together...maybe every other one they make is perfect and this one just snuck thru QC....I doubt it. Saw mixed reviews and thought I would give it a try. The best thing about it was the ease of returning it thru UPS. I gave it 5 stars for suction because it really sucked!

Terrible company. Terrible equipment. Terrible. It came broken then broke beyond repair just by using it. They gave me a small percentage of my money back for a worthless product. I can’t understate how terrible this is

I thought I was too heavy at 200lb for the leg section to not want to continue opening, but it’s not. The gears slip when it they are introduced to the a little restriction. Gears are not big enough for this type of device and they are not sturdy. Overall, this machine is made for anyone that can already present extreme flexibility. You will not get flexibility from this machine, you’ll get anger issues!!

The wheel was broken in the box. It was not securely packaged enough to protect it from transport
