Absorbine Silver Honey Hot Spot & Wound Care Ointment for Dogs, Cats, Small Animals, 2oz Tube

I’ve only used this product about 4 times and it works great. My pug gets hotspot easily. We do everything we need to do as much as possible to prevent the hotspots but it happens. And this product has already worked after using it 4 times. The hotspots are going away. I’m thankful it worked, for my pets comfort. I feel bad that he has the areas that really bother him. So to see that it is helping makes me so stoked. And thankfully this product is not expensive, it’s reasonably priced. Will be checking out the other products as well.

I tried all the sprays, the oils, the creams… The only thing that was close was a hydrocortisone spray but my dog HATED the sensation of a spray so I’d have to spray it in my hand first (IYKYK) and it just made a mess. This stuff not only works better but it’s no fuss to put it on her. I ran through the first bottle really fast so my advice is to use less per application (about a dime or a nickel size per area) and increase how often you use it per day instead.

This works exactly as the product description states. For the people saying there isn't a lot in the tube, reading is essential...it clearly states that this product is a 2 ounce tube, the same size as a typical tube of diaper rash cream, enough for many, many applications. So for the pros, it's not greasy, the scent is basically neutral, it is thick and stays put if left alone. My dog had a fungal infection in his toe pads, the main pads and nail beds healed well after veterinary prescribed oral antifungal and antibiotic. We were also using chlorhexidine/ketoconazole spray twice a day and wipes of the same ingredients each time he came inside. However the pads on his dew claws remained visibly inflamed, red, chafed and irritated. I ordered this with next day prime delivery, applied the same night and the next morning the redness was visibly improved. After three days the inflammation had greatly subsided and his pads were no longer raw. I highly, highly recommend this.

Tried another [blue] product which my dog loved to lick, so decided to try Silver Honey as it had the bitter taste.I will say that I loved the consistency of this product much more-- a thicker paste that was easier to apply where I needed it.Unfortunately whatever bitter taste it has was not enough to deter my dog from immediately licking it off. The precautions on the bottle clearly state to call Poison Control if swallowed.While I didn't call Poison Control, my dog did vomit a few times. I have not applied the product since and the vomiting has ceased.While the product does appear to have high quality ingredients, please make sure your pet cannot ingest it.

My girl has awful allergies and (as our vet said) should be in a plastic bubble because of all her allergies. Despite changing her diet, implementing a probiotic, and wiping off her paws when she comes inside, her paws and skin will still be irritated. I purchased this to have on hand for those days when her paws are really bothering her or if she has been licking or chewing on them. I have noticed that when we use this product her paws seem to heal quicker, and the irritation seems to subside. It is easy to work through her paws and dries quickly. There is no real smell (that I have noticed) and does not stain. There is a lot of product in the tube for what you pay. I do not use this every day for my dog, so it has lasted us a long time. 10/10 would recommend.

I hate that I didn’t take a before pic!! This stuff really cleared my frenchies hot spots & redness on her stomach/private area. I started using it on a Friday and it literally cleared up by Wednesday! Less than a week! It took about 2 days for me to start seeing that it was working, and then literally started to dissapear. Please never discontinue this stuff!! It will save you a trip to the vet & hundreds of dollars. I told myself that I would give it a week before I took her to the vet to see if it worked. Well it worked in LESS than a week!I also tried it on myself! I put it on a pimple on my face for a few days and it pretty much stopped hurting the next day and cleared up in a few days.BUY THIS NOW! And keep an extra tube.
