Amazing what these curtains do!
I will start by saying that I have many blackout curtains in my home and have for many years. I work night shift and like a pitch black room. I didn't realize they had sound reducing curtains. I recently moved and there is a very old 8 foot patio door. You can hear everything through it. I was amazed I heard my phone notification through it, when I was outside, with phone inside. You can hear neighbors just talking casually, through it. My central air unit is right outside that door, along with the neighbors garage, fairly close. Very noisy, so I began searching sound barriers and these curtains came up. I figured, why not gone them a try. I got a heavy duty curtain rod and ordered 4 panels of these. I heard the more folds, the more sound blocking properties. These curtains are pretty heavy and very think. They look really nice and very high quality, in every way. Stitching is top notch. Once they were hung, I noticed how it totally changed the sound in my living room. My central air kicked on and that's when my mind was blown! I barely could hear it kick on and then couldn't hear it running. Previously I could hear it fairly loud, when running. I would say it reduced the AC sound, by 75%. No joke. For neighbors garage noise, like car doors and engine's, I would say reduced it about 50%. Just depends on the type of sound frequency. For me, it helped on all the sounds I was having issues with. I was very skeptical, so that shows you how good these really are. For lower frequencies, like Bass from a subwoofer, it won't help much but all the higher frequencies, get vastly reduced. I love the white on the backside, instead of the Black, on alot of Blackout curtains. These are triple layered and the Black is in the middle. If you just want Blackout curtains, you can find cheaper but if you need them with sound reduction, these are the ones you want! Sorry for bad punctuation and sentence structure. Not my strong suit. I just wanted people to know how good these really are for sound.

Honestly life changing…
We just moved into a house from the 50s on a very busy road. While the house itself is beautiful, the sound was definitely an issue (hardwood floors and a huge (70”+) plate glass window in the living room.I installed four of these panels over the window three days ago and it’s like a whole new space. I am incredibly sensitive to sound, so I was concerned I wouldn’t ever get used to the noise. While these curtains do not cancel sound, i.e. apple earbuds or something similar, they do a pretty remarkable job of dampening noise. As other reviewers have mentioned, you need a pretty gathered curtain to really benefit. For us that means a standard two panel set for an average size window and four panels for the 70” front window. We are using target wrap around metal curtain rods and they work really well with these. Seriously if you’re on the fence, these curtains are worth a try.

Reduces noise, good light blocking
We live near the 101 in CA and lately it seems everyone drives an ear splitting motorcycle or small car with an annoying exhaust system that can rattle your molars. No one really stops and says wow that guyis cool, thanks for interrupting my sleep dude. We bought these curtains to help keep these kooks out of our bedroom and they do work as well as to be expected. Keep in mind they are a fabric curtain so they drop noise levels, not eliminate them. The quality and thickness does indeed muffle outside noise. From my dB meter, they drop sound by about 5-10 dB ave over a few minutes. That’s huge. Qualitatively, they seem to muffle sound. My advice is to give them time so your brain can adjust to the new muffled sound. My only down sided comment is that the curtain rod rings are huge. The 1.75” holes allow for light and noise to enter my domicile. My work around was to raise the rod about 4” above the sliding glass door which did the trick. There is a floor gap which I fill using the old curtains rolled up. All in all happy with these curtains. If the rod holes were smaller I would give it five stars for noise and blackout.

Nicely made curtains which muffle sound.
These are nicely made curtains. I bought 2 sets, so there would be more material to absorb sound. I moved into a nice, but noisy apt. with a lot of outdoor traffic. The curtains do muffle/reduce normal traffic sounds, but not the sounds of large trucks or revving engines, which I didn't expect them to.They were package really well within zipped plastic cases, but one of the sets had dirty spots on them. The curtains I ordered were white.

Perfect!!
The media could not be loaded. These are AWESOME. They don't let any light through, they're so thick. Our room is pitch-black in the middle of the day. The sun shines directly into our window throughout the whole day, and my boyfriend works 2 back-to-back 12 hour night shifts so needs to sleep during the day. These curtains block out the light completely. Obviously they have some light creeping in around the edges, that's just a thing with all curtains, so I tacked them down in one spot on each side to lay them flat against the wall, and put a blanket along the top of the curtain rod.But they are exactly what we needed! Amazing blackout curtains!

Too much Wrinkle
I use it for reducing street noise, did not notice much difference. hanging for couple of days, wrinkle is still everywhere, probably due to the white color I chose. Material is thick and heavy. but definitely not worth the price. You can buy 2 sets of double layer curtain for half the price, double the thickness and sound reducing. Overall, not recommended.

Amazing!!!
Bought a pair for youngest daughters room mainly to keep the heat out of her room as the sun is directly on her window afternoon until sunset… these not only help with that but also keep her room dark! They worked how I hoped so I recently bought another pair for my other daughters room! I have them in white.

Pretty good curtains
It is really thick and does the darkening job really good. Noise go down a bit not canceling. it keeps temperature down 1-1.5 Celsius. In all colour is nice, a little bit winkle but it's all acceptable, need to make sure lay them out after wash Because it has three layer when I washed it, the inner layer was stuck but after that everything is great.

Perfect black out curtains
We bought these for two uses. The first to deaden traffic noise. Not so efficient The second reason for a blackout curtain. These are just the perfect solution and I am sure in the summer will help keep the heat out. They are indeed wrinkled when the arrive, but with a little work and another person you can iron out any wrinkles and they look great.
