useful & easy to use
As a DIY car owners, I always do most gasoline car maintenance and repair. I used to use an old cooking pot to collect the dripping motor oil while replacing; doable but not very easy - a bit small.I decided to buy this drain pan for all my oil works.Easy to use and really convenient.

Oil drain 16 qt.
I needed this pan specially when changing oil on diesel trucks cause oil drains really fast so you need something this big to contain 10-12 qts. Of oil

Hello Gorgeous! You want information on this Oil Drain Pan, I have it!This drain pan looks EXACTLY as pictured and performs WONDERFULLY! It's very durable, strong and arrived intact with no cracks, chips or fractures. Before I get to far a head of myself, I don't have anything to compare it too because we always used home made drain pans and this is the FIRST REAL drain pan we have ever purchased and the LAST! Once you buy this you will want NO OTHER! It is BIG, so there is no room for the oil to miss going in this drain pan during a change (environmentalists will smile and approve). It has a very handy oil spout that works perfectly to pour old oil into the newly empty oil containers. It is light weight, pretty easy to clean and store in a shed. I can see this lasting us MANY YEARS!What I LOVE about this drain pan is how easy it is to keep the work area clean of oil! I never seen the need in the past to waste money on something like this when it is pretty easy to make an oil catch with a semi efficient way to drain it into a funnel and into an empty oil container... However; not without a bit of a mess :-/ We have VERY VERY LITTLE mess with this drain pan. Plus, with the built in oil spout, you really don't have any need to use a funnel to get the old oil back into an oil container. REALLY WORTH THE $17 and PAYS FOR ITSELF in the long run when you think of what you are doing for the environment by not getting oil all over the place because you'd rather take the $17 and buy a few over priced meals at McDonald's...Do yourself a favor. Save your money! Make a home cooked meal that will have tasty leftovers the next day, WITHOUT THE SPIT, and buy this REALLY HANDY Oil Drain Pan!Make sure you hit that helpful button under this review! God Bless!

Finally found a pan that doesn't fail at pouring oil!
I can't remember the last time I did an oil change without spilling a single drop of used motor oil when transferring it back into a container for disposal. There are hundreds of oil drain pans on the market, but it seems like every single designer is unaware that users have to pour oil out of the drain pan into another container. I've used flimsy drain pans that can't even keep their shape when full of oil, pans with spouts that seem like a cruel joke, and catchbasin type pans that appear to be designed specifically to deflect your stream of used oil everywhere but into the basin. Even otherwise well-designed pans have a hard time avoiding some drips when transferring oil. This pan is not like any of those other pans. This is a very large oil pan, so even if you are changing a vehicle with a large oil capacity, it won't be full to the brim. There is a large molded lip (with handles!) on the top edge that keeps oil in while pouring and directs it to the molded-in spout. This spout is connected to the interior of the pan, so there is no opportunity for drips to sneak over the edges of the spout while pouring. This pan is thick and fairly rigid, so it won't buckle with oil in it.I am extremely satisfied with this oil pan. The only time I don't use it for changing any of my vehicles or small engine yard equipment is on my smaller engines where this pan is too big to fit near the oil drain location. The only drawback is the fairly complex shapes on the interior of the pan (including the interior of the molded lip and spout) that make it difficult to wipe clean when I'm finished with an oil change, but that is a small price to pay for an actual high quality oil pan with a spout that doesn't drip oil all over the place.

Well made and can hold all the oil I need it to hold.
I was looking for a drain pan that was larger than most than I could find as the drain plug on my Charger is off to the side. This made it a bit of a challenge to catch the initial amount of oil without spilling. The size of this pan works great and holds all the oil easily and I don't have to reposition the pan as much as my older one. I also like the built-in pour spout for emptying the pan - way easier than what I was using and less spillage too. Very happy with my purchase.

Arrived at my door 2 days ahead 0f schedule.
Not as sturdy as the one it replaces. but should last a couple years. Good enough.

Does not hold 4.5 gallons...otherwise okay.
Bought based on high reviews and advertised volume for oil changes on a gas SUV and diesel pickup. The goods: it’s very sturdy, the pour out of the nozzle is not messy, and it’s wide so it makes a large target for oil draining. The bads: it does not hold 4.5 gallons (arguably less than 4) and when it is very full it leaks out the spout because the spout is lower than the rim. Another review mentioned problems holding oil out of a 15qt oil system. Make this another one. At 15qt, the oil level was less than 1/2 inch from the top of the lip, and it leaked out the spout. I will say that the 4.5 gal may be the absolute volume the pan will hold, but the USABLE volume for an oil change will be closer to 3.5 gal. So in fairness, I’ll give it 4 stars only because the spout leaks when it’s near full and level, and I will take responsibility for not padding my volume requirement. Otherwise it is well built, and for anyone needing a volume of 3.5 gal or LESS, you won’t be disappointed.

Ligero, resistente, y amplio.
Vi varias opciones, y esta fue la que me convencio principalmente por tener una captacion amplia. Y tambien me gusto el detalle de sus sistema para vaciar a otro recipiente evitando derramar por tratar de atinarle. Muy recomendable.
