Octane Lighting 7" RGB SMD Multi-color White RED Blue Green LED Halo Angel Eye Headlights Pair

I've had these headlights on my Wrangler since 2014. I managed to lose the remote in 2016 and they sent me a replacement remote and control module. Well in 2019 the control module finally decided to die. Fortunately I held on to the one they sent me as a spare in 2016 and swapped it with the broken one. Everything is golden again. Only issue I've had is that a bank of 6 LEDs on one headlight has lost the green channel. I plan on getting a set of angry bird bezels to cover it up. I'm really impressed with the headlights and customer service over all.

The media could not be loaded.  I gave 4 stars for these lights because, the LED wiring from the headlights to the control box is not near long enough. I put these in a vintage VW Beetle (Small Car) and the wires didn't make it but about half way to the dash. I had to install the control box under the hood, which wouldn't be an issue but the antenna coming off of the control box is also very short. The signal from the remote is not strong enough to change the lighting, while inside the car, this was a disappointment. I was really wanting to be able to turn them on/off while inside the car. I actually had to run the antenna through the inner fender, to be able to change colors, etc while pointing the remote directly at the fender well. Other than not being too easy to use, these lights are extremely bright and well built. I would've given 5 stars if the control box could've been put into the dash so the remote would pick up inside the car. Maybe a suggestion to the manufacturer, could you make an extension for the led wires? a 2 foot extension would fix my issue

These lights are very bright and work well so far. I had to modify the headlight buckets to align the lights properly and cut a notch in the bucket edge to prevent pinching the halo wires which are at the back edge of the lamp, then cut a slot in the back of the bucket for the halo wires to exit into the engine compartment. If the control box and power supply are installed on the left side of the vehicle, the left side wires are too long, so cut of these wires to use on the right side which will be too short. Cut about six inches from the end of the right wires and use the short section on the left side after cutting off all but about a foot of the left side wires. The control boxes and power supply can be mounted with automotive double stick foam tape wherever is convenient in the engine compartment. Good luck with your installation.

So I ordered this halo light set and it arrived okay packed well. The problem is the instructions are minimal with no tech knowledge what so ever. There are no instructions for the remote. It works, but there is no explanation for the “DIY” modes, and I couldn’t program the colors I wanted to rotate. I installed them based on my experience and it went well. I chose to use a full time 12v source to a switch. This will allow me to turn them on at a car show or drive in and not run the battery down as much (per the instructions) but I have no idea how LNG I can before the battery 🪫. It would be nice to know what current they draw.

I am not impressed with these. ESPECIALLY for the massive price. Reciever box is in my fender, headlights are so faded if I tried to drive at night currently, I'd be screwed. It has only been about 6 months and the LED's are Bruning out same rate as some $90 ones I bought. The colors such as purple, orange, yellow, all of that. Looks terrible because the main colors the lights feed off of it just looks like choppy blue, or choppy red. And because of it, I got pulled over. Would never buy these again

The lights look awesome!! The problem is the components are soooo cheap!!! The wiring harness is waaaay too short. Antenna needs to reach inside the dash, but doesn't!!! And I have found that the antenna ONLY works in the DARK!! If you want to turn the lights on during the day, you have to stand next to the antenna with remote and cover them with your hand (so it will be dark, to work!!) It's April-2016-- I purchased these lights Sept 2015- I already have bulbs going out!! Love the lights, hate that they don't work right Sooooo disappointed!!!!

Awesome when you first buy them easy install but remote wire is way way way to short and wiring is low quality I had mine for 2 years before the lights started going out in the halo rings

Wires are too short. Cheap material for the price.
