Reasonably well made, Smooth operation with no "jumping" of voltage. Works great for adding dimmers to RV 12 VDC lighting.

But really a 5 star review.I really like this. Well built. Excited about ordering another. Only one caveat. DO NOT REVERSE THE POLARITY! The application I wanted this for, needs to be positive dimming. This is negative dimming. Meaning that it lowers the negative voltage side and not the positive side. The result in reversing polarity is a smoke show. Yep I smoked it ten minutes out of the package! Wired correctly, it preformed perfectly. I'm not knocking this at all. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is to bring attention to my error and save you from the same. The red wires are both marked input+. I don't believe this has a factor in my issue because this dims the negative side. Positive should be a passthrough. On the photo of the dimmer, the bump is where it smoked (melted).

I now own seven of these. I have five in my Land Rover controlling the volume of my backup alarm, and as dimmers of four sets of different LEDs. Seems to be waterproof as well, as I have one under the hood. Dims from like 100% to about 5% as the instructions show. Each wire is labeled as positive/negative in/out so wiring it in is simple. Can't recommend this enough.

I fried several of these units trying to dim about 3A of 12V LEDs each. Use for single LEDs and low power circuits only, then they work just fine!

I bought two of these dimmer switches for my travel trailer. The interior lights are LED, and they're extremely bright. I was able to easily install these in the light housings. The wiring diagram and installation instructions were very helpful with my installation. Now I have the ability to dim the lights to any level that I prefer, it makes the LED lights usable again.I highly recommend these dimmer switches.

I've got two dimmer switches on my 12 volt puck lights in my camper van. Connecting them to the wires and the fuse box was very easy. But I can't figure out how to mount the switch itself to a wall panel.Behind the knob is a cube, the size of a 6 sided die. No clips, clamps, arms, or other protruding pieces to mount this into a hole or face plate. So far, that's been the only issue. I still haven't discovered a solution.

Ordered three sets. Only 3 of the 6 switches worked properly. One was burned on arrival. Other only worked when cables were jiggled and last made the light flicker when dimmed. Installed these with the dimmable led lights of the same brand. I'm amazed that these switches receive such great reviews. You can see the cheap manufacturing job when you actually hold them in your own hands. Save yourself time and money and find a better dimmer.

This device can dim the light of LED light. Beside the benefit of getting right amount of lighting or heating, when turning down the voltage from this device, the power usage is immediately reduced with no addition power usage to the device. It likes a zero-energy consumption device. Thus, it is a money saving device.
