Camp Chef 20 in. WIFI Woodwind Pellet Grill & Smoker - WIFI & Bluetooth Connectivity

So I’m a family of 4 and this thing cooks the perfect amount for us. We have friends over every once in a while and it’s the perfect size to accommodate for them as well. Maybe max of 8ish people.So the good. It’s holds temps well and everything comes out tasting great! The smoke setting and temp change dial are easy to use as well as changing it from your phone when you connect it to the wifi.The bad. They have a design flaw in there hopper where the sides of it aren’t angled so the pellets will stop falling in when it’s about half full. This requires you to check it about every 10-15 min and push the pellets in the middle to make sure they’re still getting fed.More bad(maybe just me though). If you start off with a low temp and hold it there for about 10-15min to warm up an appitizer then need to push the temp up above 400° it STRUGGLES or doesn’t even get there. This is ONLY when you start with something at a low temp. If you start off with something at 450° it’ll have no problem reaching it.Overall: I like the smoker a lot and when you keep track and know those 2 things the food comes out amazing!

Great grill that does everything as advertised. I did a lot of research before setting my sights on this grill. Perfect pellet grill for your deck/patio.

After a year of owning this product paint has flaked off leaving rust spots all over. Decive will not connect to wifi anymore. LCD display will shutoff durning a cook.

I didn't purchase my Woodwind 20 from Amazon, but reading the only two reviews this grill currently has (two 1-star reviews at the time of me writing this) compelled me to take the time out of my day to write my own review because the other reviews are, quite frankly, not truthful.This is the first pellet smoker I have ever purchased, and I did extensive research before choosing this one over some other brands. I wasn't looking for any of those "smoke 10 chickens or grill 32 burgers at once" sized smokers because I mostly only cook for me and my partner, and occasionally a small group of friends. This smoker is perfectly sized, doesn't take up a massive footprint on my back deck, and has delivered some of the best smoked and grilled meats I have ever had.This smoker was very easy to assemble, and everything I've cooked on it so far has been nothing short of fantastic. I have smoked brisket, ribs, and salmon and they came out wonderfully. I have also used it to grill burgers and steaks a few times. The fact that this smoker allows you to smoke AND grill with direct flame is a huge selling point in my opinion. The grill gets hot enough to sear steaks to perfection, so I don't think there is even a need for the "sear box" attachment that another reviewer seems to be so upset about it not supporting (even though it is not advertised as supporting it).The app experience has been fine, nothing amazing about it, but no problems noted either. The first time I used it I had to run a few updates for the controller, but it was easy to do. It is nice to be able to check and set the temps without needing to go out to the deck. I have heard you can even control it while you're away from home, but I haven't had a reason to try that yet.My grill did arrive with a small dent on one side of the barrel that didn't seem to impact performance at all, but CampChef customer support went above-and-beyond and offered me some really great options to make me feel like they cared. They stand behind their product and it shows.I am a little obsessive compulsive when it comes to researching things before I buy them, and this thing certainly lives up to all my expectations in what I wanted out of a pellet smoker/grill. I have already recommended this smoker to a friend who is in the market to replace an old one of his. 10/10

Camp Chef smokers are the best. Don't listen to the 1-star reviews. It says it doesn't support a sear box, and camp chef has amazing customer service, if only you use it.

They tell you that the woodwind series will support a sear box. They lie! the PG20CT will not

An absolute piece of garbage! The temp probe came delivered with a slice in the wire, took me forever to figure out why the temp was way off. Of course piss pour factory installation! Then the auger broke, never worked properly from the beginning. Apparently everyone besides myself knows that CAMP CHEF sucks, because it sat next to my mailbox for over two weeks with a ‘ take it for free’ sign on it... Had to wait for the garbage men one morning to tell them to take it !!! Don’t waste your money or your time on this sad sad piece of junk!!

I purchased this Woodwind 20 from Amazon and have used it already, here’s my opinion:Pros:1) not bad to put together, comes in a descend box, which you need a dolly to move around, assembly takes about 30min, all you have to assemble are the wheels, the handle, sidekick/table, and that’s about it2) once assemble its not really a bulky smoker, which in my case was perfect fit for my space/deck3) the controller is easy to see and connection/pairing with the app wasn’t too bad4) cooking/grilling was fun temperature set and kept pretty close to set goal5) I like the smoke controller adjusting to my taste6) customer care actually is good.7) easy to cleanNot really any cons but more like warnings are:1) update app/system once you download it2) when cold the grill takes 6min to get started as a prestart warming up3) there may be a slight delay of app updating when exiting the app so wait a sec to verify the temp once opening the app againAll and all, i went with this model because of the many features listed, direct flame is a big plus, and the wifi also,Money wise is a bit expensive at 600 but if you consider your use/time you be using it then in the endIt’s worth it
