Speck Products 73067-1909 CandyShell Grip Case for Samsung Note 5, White/Black

I have had some bad luck with my note 5. This is actually the third phone I have had in less than a year. My first one was deliberately broken by an irate friend. It had the white speck candy shell grip on it. She literally had to repeatedly throw it at a brick wall to get the phone to break. The case was fine. The phone was too until she stomped it right on the screen with her foot,rendering it useless. My replacement phone was also in the white case. I was gardening and needed potting soil so took a quick trip to the store. Upon returning, I could not locate my phone. Apparently I had placed it on the hood of my car (white) and driven off with it. I found the phone on the highway. The case was fine and the phone was also in one piece but someone had, of course, driven over the screen, rendering it useless. So, this is my third note 5 and my third case like this. I got the black one this time just in case the white one was cursed. I have dropped it several times and my phone is still quite pristine. It does scratch easily and the black shows the scratches more than the white. The inside grips your phone and prevents water and dirt from getting between the device and the lining which also prevents scratches on the phone. I recommend cleaning it out every now and then just to make sure. I dropped it from a standing position onto concrete and the corner by the Stylus is cracked. But my phone has nary a mark on it. So I believe in these cases. Short of actively trying to destroy your phone or having someone drive directly over your screen I'd say this is probably the best case for the note 5, factoring in price, protection, and style.

I purchased the white candyshell grip case for my white Note 5 and the fit and color are on point. The case feels well constructed and has smooth and precise molding and cutouts.The one piece fused design is one of my favorite features of Speck's cases and the grip version of the candyshell is much appreciated! Oodles of times better than the slippery glass back of the Note 5. I don't see myself loosing grip of my phone now.The color of this case and quality of materials are great compliments to the premium feel of my white Note 5. The raised lip to protect the phone face down is deep enough for me to install a tempered glass protector and still have plenty of room to lie my phone face down.I recommend the candyshell grip to everyone in the market for a functional, stylish and slim phone case with plenty of grip for their Note 5.P.S.: I read a review where the reviewer mentioned the cutout for one of the two microphones (the one at the bottom) is covered by the case, but I can testify it is not covered. There is a channel cut into the molding where the speaker is that allows the mic to remain operational and videos still record in stereo just fine.

I got this case on a whim one night when I was a bit tipsy I hate to say, lol! I had wanted it for a long time but that high price tag ($43 if I remember correctly), was prohibitive. I knew it wouldn't like dial itself or fix my breakfast, so I couldn't justify the high price when there are cases out there that are more protective and much cheaper. But, as I said, I got a wild hair up my rear and went ahead and ordered it one night. The next day I was like- what am I doing spending $40 for a dang plastic phone case??I must say, it is my favorite case though. The picture design is as vibrant as is shown, and it does provide protection with a rubber lip around the front. It's one piece that is fairly easily snapped on and off. The holes line up perfectly. I've been using it for a while now and have dropped my phone with no damage to the phone. It's pretty and protective, the design is not easily scratched or chipped. Even with the time I've been using it, it has very little sign of wear and tear.If you can get past that price tag, or you find yourself wanting it, get tipsy and go for it :)

The Note 5 without a case is difficult to hold without accidentally pressing items at the edge of the screen. Linda, listen to me.This case is amazing!! You might be thinking that it looks like just a simple phone case, and maybe it is. However....have you seen the options for the Samsung Note 5? There aren't very many.We had several trial and errors with finding cases for our new phones. We searched the depths of Best Buy with their over-indulgence in iPhone accessories. We looked at T-Mobile only to find melt your face hot pink or boring black.We scoured the internet and found cases that looked okay in the pictures but when we received them felt like they were designed by a handless blind man.This case feels amazing. It is actually my third Speck case, but first Speck case for this phone. It feels really nice and I find comfort that if I suddenly lose motor ability and fling my phone the concrete that this case with take the fall for my phone.The colors are perfect. True to the picture although the blue is a bit lighter than the picture - Just a tad. It's kind of a sea-foam blue-green. Nonetheless, it's beautiful and I love it. The colors look really nice on my white phone.It has enough grip that you don't have to worry about it slipping out of your hands. The front bumper comes out just enough to protect the screen but doesn't add bulk to the phone.The buttons and S Pen are easily accessible as well as the ports and holes.The case helps with not accidentally touching the screen which is an added bonus.BUY IT! You know you want to.

This was quite expensive but it was the only one I liked. I am very pleased with it though. It's smooth but not very slippery to my surprise. it was very easy to put on. Fits well and I have no regrets purchasing this item. Shipped out on time.
