My old thermostat gave up the ghost after 11 years, and I tried a Honeywell that was awful (constantly cycled the heat pump on and off, as many as 10 times an hour.) I read the reviews and found this one, which was very similar to my old thermostat. I wanted something simple, with the ability to control the amount of cycling on and off the way my old one did. I don't need all the "gee-whiz" features like wireless and access through my phone, I would never use that. My system works best to just set it and leave it alone. No complaints at all, easy to install and set up, very happy with it.

I am a 59 year old woman and I was able to install thermostat with no problems. I am so pleased. The price was excellent and the instructions allowed me to accomplish this task.

Replaced old analog thermostat, this was easy to wire up and works so far.

When my electric bill was up to the sky, and my head pump units were running almost 24/7 (up stair and down stair units). I realized that my 15 yr old thermostat couldn't read the room temp correctly, they made the heat pump units running non-stop. I replaced the two 15 yrs old thermostat with these two new ELECTECK Heat Pump thermostats. My head pump units are back to normal, my electric bills are down back to normal. Check your thermostats and change them as needed. These thermostats are simple and easy to install.

Had been experiencing intermittent problems with my thermostat / heat pump system. We narrowed down the problem to the likelihood that it was a failing thermostat or damaged wires. Ordered this thermostat, wired it up, and I'm happy to say it immediately solved the problem. It's a good budget option. The old thermostat was a more well known brand, the model no longer available, and it would have cost 3x as much to replace it with same brand. Happy with this purchase, would recommend.

They claim you can change the setting to "Heat Pump - Off" to make it work with a separate heater and AC. However that setting does not exist in the programming. Other wise it's a very nice thermostat.

Like everything, a lot of thermostats are over-engineered. I installed this nice blue-screen ELECTECK in place of a defective $200 Honeywell which accommodated features that I didn't need. The wiring scheme was easy to follow. The heat came on immediately.

Le thermostat fonctionne comme un charme et fait tout ce qu'un thermostat beaucoup plus cher fait sauf la possibilité de mettre l'affichage en Celsius. Je dois avouer cependant que c'est ma faute, j'aurais dû lire et poser la question mais il est trop tard. J'en avais besoin rapidement en période de canicule alors on fait avec jusqu'à ce qu'on en as marre de n'avoir que l'affichage en Farenheit
