🔧 Shape Your Future with Nitinol Wire!
Kellogg's Research Labs offers a 5-foot length of standard temperature Nitinol wire, featuring a transition temperature of 115°F (45°C) and a diameter of 0.040" (1.0mm). This super heavy-duty wire is untrained, allowing users to customize the transition temperature through heat treatment, making it ideal for a variety of engineering and creative applications.

Fun science!
My college-aged daughter loved this birthday present. It worked just as expected: bend it willy nilly, then place it in warm water, and bam, the wire straightens. There is more she can do with it, but she's really pleased with it so far.

Fun, but not consistent
For line, the transition temperature varies considerable across the length of the wire. About half can’t be bent at all!

First use of SMA
Looks like good quality, works fine for my project

It actually works
but it's not perfect. Training it at 500 deg Celsius is not easy. A 1mm diameter nitinol wire has a minimum curve radius of about 3/8 inch, so it has limited shaping capability

Don't cut without proper equipment
Good thickness, do not try cutting into smaller pieces unless you have something that will cut through titanium wire. I received the product exactly as described

Excellent memory wire
This product can quickly and worked perfectly for my application. Strong and easy enough to bend into shapes with a propane torch, and quickly returns to original shape with some slight heating.
