Key Fob Case Shell (Swap Your Original Blade)

My kids are ruff on this car key so I find myself having to purchase this shell casing at least once a year. Its an older car so I do not want to pay for an entirely new key when the car itself wont be around much longer. It comes with all of the items necessary to make the transfer of the key piece into the new housing. 10 out of 10 highly reccomend.

Bought for my friend who broke his key it is easy to put together and hasn’t had a problem since!

I had to use pliers to seat the key into the key holder and some adjusting and pushing to get the two halves of the fob to fit flush.

My key case broke to my 2003 SUV Lexus. I only had one key for my car. I could only start my car by using a pair of pliers to turn the key while I held the broken case with the key FOB close to it.I checked with a Lexus dealer. I was going to be forced to buy a key that Lexus would cut when my actual key was perfectly fine. The cost would have been in the $400 range. Lexus would not sell just the case without cutting a new key.I took a chance ordering this case on Amazon because it was so inexpensive. It turned out to be just as good as the original case All I had to do was put my FOB into the case, along with the key, snap the front on, and tighten one little screw.A $400 problem went to a $7.50 solution. I would highly recommend this to Lexus drivers who have a broken case. Do not let a car dealership take advantage of you when there is the much much cheaper solution.

I have a gx 470 2007 Lexus. This Key Fob is not an exact fit the insides sink in making it difficult forme to open and close my doors.

I spoke too quickly. Last less than 30 uses it fell apart. No way this could last, doesn’t snap closed, hence tons of strain on the tiny screw, which pulls right through the hole.I am a super skeptic and I am blown away by how well, how easily and how quickly this Key Fob Case Shell solved my problem. Thank you!! It took no more than ten minutes and zero expletives to replace the case shell for my 2003 Lexus GX. Trust this, it’s a 100% straight shooting honest to goodness fix for my broken Lexus key fob. Saved me $$hundreds$$. No wonder the Lexus dealer is the richest so-and-so in town! My 1st review, & let me just say this product is AMAZING!I work at an Auto Parts store, & i have reached out to friends that work at The Lexus dealership, & even with my friends discount a replacement key for my 2000 Lexus Rx300 would have been $225.00.A local lock Smith told me $285.00 for a replacement key, & if you look closely the plastic fob was just cracked on the bottom.I happily stumbled upon this item while Googling for a cheaper replacement, read the reviews, ordered it, & MY GOD was it easy to install. The hardest part was prying the metal key out of the remaining plastic which was easily done with a pair of needle nose pliers, now small tip* before you remove anything i suggest putting the damaged key back together for a minute & with a sharpie mark a small dot on the tip of the key to remind you what side goes up, & matches the alarm buttons. Then from there just take apart, pry off remaining plastic, reassemble, & there you go. Saved over $200 with an $8 product.SOOOO HAPPY!!!

The media could not be loaded. I’m so glad that I bought this instead of going to the dealer. It was easy to assemble, came with everything needed, it is durable, I’ve been using it for months with no issues, the price couldn’t be better. Don’t give your money to the dealer unless you’re really pressed about the logo on the back. Other than that I would recommend it.
