Q: Does this version work with Jetson nano and/or ubuntu 18.04?

I can confirm it works fine in ubuntu 16.04 and I am pretty sure it will in ubuntu 18.04. In terms of the Jetson, it is highly possible it will, but haven't tried it so better contact support to be on the safe side.

Q: im trying to 3D print items that i download from a 3d scanner & was wondering if this is a low cost solution? if so what program would work best?

look for rgb-d cameras like intel realsense or Microsoft kinect they have better quality
