Have limited space for a bin in the house, previous bins took up too much.The vertical stacking of this bin has a much tidier finish and take up less space.Although the compartments are a good size they are smaller than previous taller bins we've had. As a result I find we are taking the bins out more often which is a good thing really! However the smaller size also makes it alot easier to keep clean.The odour filter works well with food and nappies! However can't comment yet on how long it lasts or needs replaced.JJ bin bags that come with it are great however are expensive to be constantly using, we've used green bags for food from the council with no problems. After some trial and error we've found 50L bin bags from Tesco work just as well as the original bags. Any larger and the bin lid sometimes won't catch correctly and stay closed.

How much? These bins are so expensive for the materials used. However that aside, the split of compartments for recycling both plastic and cardboard and food waste in a nice compact form has to be applauded. Whilst each compartment is fairly small, as a family we only have to empty a couple times a week. The recycling section at the bottom is a little small, but tbh food packaging is crazy. Don’t expect to get packaging in from amazon parcels or even other household recycling. Generally this is a kitchen bin and realistically you can only get a couple days of packaging in this before you need to empty it.The quality of the build though is great. This is the second one of these that I own. We also have the older model with the square food waste bin. I use this in the office for Nespresso capsules rather than food.The main bin compartment is more than adequate for a weeks worth of non recycled items. The corner design of the food waste does allow easier access to this main compartment which is great. Love the colours and over all ease of use.Just let down by the price. It’s often on offer though for less than the rrp, so shop around and wait until it’s reduced.

Neat & tidy - space-saving.Both compartments are a good size.Looks good.Easy to keep clean.Bags are nice and compact which makes changing the bag is easy and not a struggle like other bins.Has an odour filter that works well.Nice recycling compartment. No need for separate bins / clutter.Bin bags are available in flat packs, not rolls so you can store then underneath for ease of changing.

Joseph Joseph have put a lot of thought into this, improved on original by losing the bulky lid/cover and making the overall bin more compact and yes good looking! We bought the stainless steel version at a discount and very happy with the surface quality, it's easy to clean and doesn't smear much. The original had a divider for lower recycling compartment, this one doesn't - don't know why they took away that option.But there is an ISSUE with LID which a lot of people have talked about, it tends to stick closed after cleaning, some kind of vacuum between edges of lid and edges of top bin. My solution was to oil with WD40 or similar, after this no problems, so try this before going to the trouble of returning your bin.The other design issue is the opposite - I think the lid will refuse to stay to closes after a few years of wear because the lid-release tolerances are so thin, 1 or 2mm of plastic wear will make the mechanism fail. No such problem with original, but overall this version is more convenient, more compact, and quicker to install bin bags neatly.

This bin keeps everything all in one place. Great design and looks good too.

You might think it’s quite hard to get excited about a bin...well you’ve obviously not got a Joseph Joseph totem!This is quite simply the best bin ever.I had a bin that had two compartments side by side, to allow me to separate recycling and normal waste, as well as a separate food waste bin.Buying the totem has allowed me to replace these bins, while increasing my waste capacity and using less floor space.There is masses of space in these bins, but due to the vertical nature of them they don’t take up much room.The food waste caddy is a bit on the small side, however I actually quite like this, as it encourages me to empty it more frequently and avoid having a smelly bag of rotten food in the bin for days.The bins are really easy to take out to empty or to clean.Everything about the bin feels quality and it comes with a 10 year warranty.The price of this item is high, I managed to get it on a prime week deal for about £105. However you can pay £150 or more for these.I would normally potentially mark an item down in a review for a high price point and while I do feel £150 is a lot of money for a bin this bin is the best. And sometime you get what you pay for, so if you can afford it, or can get a decent deal then buy it and then you can feel excited about bins!

Our last bin was the light grey version. Lasted 4 years. While we thought it might last longer we bought a new one immediately because it is so good. Brilliant at absorbing the smells. Fantastic for recycling management as well as refuse.

Ma cuisine est si petite qu'en tournant sur moi-même je touche à tout (mur, cuisinière, comptoir, frigo) et cette poubelle est parfaite. Espace poubelle, compost et recyclage prenant qu'un pied carré de plancher.J'avais une caisse de sacs 20" x 22" et ils font très bien.J'aime le fait que le couvercle soit noir car moins salissant que le stainless.Elle garde bien les odeurs à l'intérieur et le bac inférieur roule très bien sur ses petites roulettes.Je trouvais que le prix était exorbitant mais si elle dure quelques années, ça en vaudra la peine.Vraiment je l'aime

Es muy bonito y elegante, me ha ayudado a separar la basura de los reciclables. El bote de orgánico roba algo de espacio, yo termine quitándolo. Por lo demás me gusto mucho. La capacidad es pequeña. Por lo que si generas muchos desechos tendrás que sacar la basura con más frecuencia.
