Style:Basic (Dual-Circuit) | Pattern Name:PDU The PDU40TDUAL 3.8kW Single-Phase Dual-Circuit 120V Basic PDU works as two independent PDUs in a single housing, perfect for networking, telecom, security, audio/video and sound reinforcement applications. Ideal for high-density network equipment with dual redundant input cables, it features 40 NEMA 5-15/20R outlets split evenly into two separate power circuits. Each power circuit, including its input plug, power cord, breaker and outlets, is color-coded black or gray for easy identification. Both 10-foot power cords feature NEMA L5-20P input plugs and come with optional adapters to convert them to NEMA 5-20P plugs, which are not color-coded. Connect the plugs to separate mains input power sources, generators or protected UPS systems to distribute AC power to connected equipment. The switchless design prevents an accidental shutdown, which could lead to costly downtime. Dual 20A circuit breakers protect connected equipment from dangerous overloads. The 70-inch all-metal housing supports toolless 0U vertical mounting in EIA-standard 19-inch racks, as well as on a wall or workbench or under a counter with user-supplied hardware. 2-Year Limited Warranty

A lot of outlets and a quality product
When I received the PDU I was surprised on how many outlets it came with. Then I noticed that the end was different. After talking to a friend it is for a locking outlet. I was very glad that it came with a adapter to go to a somewhat normal plug. The plug on it is very long.Make sure that you know that without the dongle you have to have a locking outlet. With the adapter the plug is designed for a 20 amp outlet, meaning the one of the pins is vertical. It took some work to get it mounted in my rack but it is very sturdy. If I were to buy another I would go with the 15amp PDU since it has a regular plug. Any newer building should have 20amp circuits or more expensive UPS.I gave 4 stars because there are not a lot of pictures and would of been more helpful is there had been more.

Works perfectly!
Got this for a rack full of servers at work. Was really easy to mount to existing screws in rack. Now at least we know we are getting close to our 20A capacity on that circuit.

Great vertical PDU
I really like these PDUs. I love the fact that they have two separate circuits and each circuit has its only digital display showing how many amps the equipment is pulling. This comes in really handy when setting up a network rack with equipment that has redundant power supplies. The power usage display is really handy to quickly check the current electrical usage and as such estimate appropriate cooling needs. Sure, you can check the UPS interface to see how many amps it's drawing, but having it right on the PDU is way more convenient. I haven't found a PDU that even gets close to matching the usability, price, and features that these do. Even if I'm not using a Tripp-lite rack or UPS I almost always get these when I'm setting up a new rack.

Lots of outlets and two 20 amp circuits to feed them
I bought this as an accessory to a Tripp-Lite 45U 19" rack. It comes with mounting "buttons" already attached to allow it to be snapped onto the exterior of a post on the rack in a vertical position. It also comes with additional mounting options for other situations. The pigtails have twist-lock plugs on them and it comes with converters to NEMA 5-20P plugs. It is a very solid unit, well designed, and comes with everything you need for different mounting options and to plug into twist-lock or conventional outlets. I would definitely buy again.

Good quality power distribution unit for a server rack
Works well. Was easy to install - has button mount on the back, so just adjust with the holes on the rack side panel and push it down to set or push it up to take it out. Was handy since it was in place when I needed to mount more server hardware, so I just took it off while existing devices were connected to it, laid it on the floor and once additional servers were mounted simply set it back on the rack side panel. Has a safety cover for on/off switch - a must have for it's purpose! Usage amp on LCD is clear and visible - important when your power is metered and you don't want to go over the allowed limit. Has pretty long power cord that easily reaches the outlets under the raised floor at the datacenter.

Perfect for setting up colocation/data center
Can't go wrong with this PDU. Very easy to install/mount, comes in with standard twist lock plugs (varies by AMP) and option to connect with adapter for standard 3 prong. The AMP/load meter display works excellent to determine the current load.I've used this PDU for almost all the colocation/data centers that i have setup.Good price and well built.

Great Product
I absolutely hate spending $200 or more on a PDU for a server rack. These work as well or better and are significantly lower in price. The amperage meter is correct and the units work great. My only wish is that they offer one in this price range with a 3' power cable. FYI: These are comparable to units from APC, Dell and HP that cost $300 or more.BillH

works well
we got 4 of these and they worked as intended. it had different installation options but we ended up going with the zip ties which worked the best for us with our current Dell Rack Server. The AMP display is very handy and its kinda of the mine reasons why purchased these and their price was much lower than the competitors.
