This is the best curling iron ever. I will never use another. I love curling my hair and this curling iron makes it a breeze.I have a pretty great hair routine and only wash 2x a week and use dry shampoo in between. I can use this and curl on the first day and on the second day, I'm still holding curl. I may touch up a few places, but it's a nice loose beachy wave type curl that second day. The third day it is a true beachy wave and I don't touch up any places. I just use a little dry shampoo, wait 10 minutes, brush it through, and finish up my makeup. No other curling iron allows me to only use it once (and maybe 5 minutes on day 2) and keep curl for 3 days.It heats up fast, heats evenly throughout the time used, and it gets hot! Perfect for people with coarse hair.My hair is long, hitting about mid waist on me, and it takes less than 20 minutes to curl my whole head. And my hair glides through the barrel. And I love the rotating, no tangle cord! It's perfect. Best tool I've used.This is the only hair styling tool I need. Period. (Photo is hair after using this curling iron and finger combed)

Lots of Pros with this curling iron! I'm not an expert when it comes to curling hair but with this curling iron, it really makes it pretty easy and doesn't ever pull my hair. Also doesn't seem to be damaging my hair either. You can use the clamp or use as a wand with ease. I love that the cord/base swivels and the tip stays cool (makes curling so much easier!!!). It really does heat up fast (heat ranges from 280 to 430). I don't have very thick hair but even so, with some irons I have to use the higher temps but with this one, I've kept it at 280 and have had beautiful curls. Cost was much cheaper than the multiple stores I had looked at. The one thing I wish this curling had would be an auto off feature (although I know professionals don't like that feature).

Heats quickly, comfortable and easy to use. I spray Oribe's lacquer on each section before I curl and my very long and thick hair will hold this iron's curl for two days- previously I thought it a miracle if my hair would hold a curl long enough to get out the door and at least arrive where I was going before it straightened back out. I love this curling iron and finally feel capable of creating glamorous styles that my hair will hold for days. (I have been using my iron for over a month now and have not personally had any issues in heating time or evenness or the coating chipping. Paul Mitchell's Hot Off the Press is also a great product if you can't get the Oribe, but Oribe gives the smooth shine typical of red carpet hair and is worth every penny it costs.)

I have long blonde extremely straight hair... Went and got my hair done and she put curls in my hair... I told her it's a waste of time because my hair doesn't hold curls... She advised me that I need a professional curler... And she was right... I used to curl my hair religiously with cheaper curling irons and curl was gone in an hour or two... But this time my curls lasted all day... And still had nice waves three days later. Took me a few curls to realize I needed to turn the heat up a little higher... About 370... And the curls were perfect!!! Quick to heat up, quick curling, and nice handling!! Would definitely recommend!

If I had rated this iron right when I got it, it would have been a 5 star - it gets super hot (which I need with curly, thick hair) and gets hot FAST. It's also silky smooth and really glides through your hair - love the cord feature which allows for ease-of-movement. The downside is that since I've had it (1-2 months) the purple coating is totally coming off...and I'd suspect in another few months it will be really bad. I'm not sure if this is do to the product that I wear on my hair - might be - but I can't give it 5 stars when the coating started coming off immediately. Also, the iron doesn't have auto-shut off. Granted, it didn't advertise that it did, but I haven't purchased an iron in the past several years that DIDN'T have this feature so I took for granted that it did. If the coating wasn't coming off and it had auto-shut off, it'd be the best iron ever! That being said, I love the iron so much that I would buy another one when the coating comes off - for the money, it's the best iron I've ever had and I've had many!

I have tried a lot of other curling irons for my fine straight hair, Hot Tools Ceramic Curling Iron has been the ONLY one that gives my hair lasting bouncy curls! It used to take me well over an hour to curl my hair but with this curling iron I am able to finish the job in under half an hour!! I couldn't be more happy I ended up going with the Hot Tools brand, and amazon by far has the best deal on this curling iron! My curls come out perfect and so shiny! If curling your hair is a struggle you NEED to try this curling iron! Hot Tools will be the only brand I buy from here on out!

I did research before buying and I am very happy with this curling iron.It heats up quickly and it curls great! I have to use the higher settings, my hair is thin and straight, and I always use a thermal protective spray, but this works wonderfully on my hair. I really like the cord, it is long and does not tangle. That is a pet peeve, when you try to use your curler but your cord is tangled and twisted. Only thing I have to watch is I could accidentally turn the heat lower or higher, I just be careful with the knob for that, it moves easily. Overall a great buy and a good price!

I had to buy this after I used my little sister's iron several times. I have never seen such amazing results from a curling iron. The MOST amazing thing that it does is smooth out hair, equal or better to that of a flat iron. I have long hair with very dry, split ends, but when I use this curling iron it smooths them out so well, it looks like I have perfectly healthy hair. It was VERY easy to use, easier than most curling irons, because of the swiveling knob on the bottom (hard to describe, but it definitely helps.) Also, since it heats up so fast and gets so hot, it's a major time saver. I also own the 2" version, but I like the curls I get from this iron better.

Bought this same iron in university and 6 years (and tons of use) later it finally broke. I looked it up on amazon and ordered a replacement right away. I love this curler and wouldn't ever use another. Makes beautiful and long lasting curls (I can even go to bed and have nice looking loose curls the next day). Heats up incredibly fast.

Totally worth it!

It's truly the best iron I've ever owned. This is the second one I've had.
