Easy to read.
Just one Gospel as an introduction to Who Jesus is and what His love means to us on a daily basis. A must have before anyone should have an opinion on this subject.

Small pocket book.
Print is a bit small if you need glasses I guess maybe a 8 point type but readable with glasses. Beware its a small pocket book 4"H x 3"W

EXCELLENT
I’ve been purchasing these for years now to set out at our store for customers to take. I get about 30-40 at a time and set them near the exit door. They are a perfect size, and I trust the English Standard Version. The way to salvation is printed in the front as well, and is explained in plain speech. I echo another reviewer’s comment that the entire Bible is very daunting to most people, whereas this little book is more likely to actually be read and hopefully lead to the rest…

Excellent small portable Gospel of John!
Short and sweet and small enough to put in a pocket. Great to give to others and a cool way to have a bit of scripture on hand. The Gospel of John is the best! I got more than one and will hand them out.

Big things come in small packages.
I am surprised at the size of the book. I was expecting a size closer to a normal novel or bible but this is much smaller. The text however is not too small.

If you had to pick just ONE of the 4 gospels.....
After finishing two books on the historical record and aspects of the bible I reread the gospels several times and was really surprised at how differently they struck me after a decade. I had also considered Luke to be easily the best because of its highly developed epic story telling style like the great Greek mythology or Arthurian legend and it's cinematic quality and looked at Mark as almost like a stripped down cliff notes and John as my least favorite due to it not being synoptic and too abstract and reflective. Now it has suddenly become my favorite and I keep rereading it and love it's beautiful poetic language and see it as a moving scripture but also a work of poetic genius in its own right as a stand alone piece of literature. I know I left out Mathew but whatever lol
