We purchased this mat so that our 6 month old could have comfortable play space on our deck. It works well for transporting in and out, as it is very lightweight, easy for one person to fold, and comes with a carrying case (though we're not putting it back in most of the time, since it stays folded on its own so we just leave it leaning against the wall when it is inside). Because of the way it folds the dirty sides (those that were down on the deck) can be folded together, keeping separate the clean and the dirty. It is a great size for a baby that is just starting to do some scooting and for a parent or two, and it feels sturdy enough that my husband and I don't worry about affecting its integrity when we hang out on it. The texture is indeed great for allowing grip without preventing movement, as other reviews have said. I noticed no chemical smells. We've only had it for a few weeks so I can't comment on how long it will hold up, but I have no obvious concerns at this point. (We figure that we only have a few months of outdoor weather anyway, and who knows what her needs will be next year. I can imagine putting it away for a year or two and then pulling it back out later as a tumbling mat.)Edit: We have now had it 1.5 years, and there are no signs of wear. She only played on it on the deck for a few months, as then she became mobile (but it was great for that purpose). Currently we use it in our basement folded as a triangular "tent" to run through (or throw balls through), or we put both sides completely together and stand it up slightly folded as a zig-zaggy wall for running laps around to scare one another. Thus, the value continues. I still look forward to using it as a tumbling mat later.

I loved everything about it perfect size just one thing I wanted to ask the edge of the mat looks like when they cut it it’s not cut straight.

Nice play mat. Super easy to fold and clean. Great travel bag. Down side it is very delicate and toys have easily torn the mat and not sure it’s gonna last as long as I’d hoped it would have.

This is just perfect for my little one to play. Easy to fold and clean. It’s so light weight. And compact to fold and store it after his play time. Saves me time of fixing and picking it up. Easy to use ! Love it to bits !!

This play mat is huge and a great thickness. My baby loves all the images and groves on it plus it’s double sided with different prints on each side. It’s thick enough for her to roll and crawl without hurting her head when she falls too hard. Super easy to fold back up and comes in a nice bag for storing.

Excellent play mat for a large room. The only issue for me is, one side is easy to clean the other side not that easy bcoz of folding line which is collecting dust pretty quick

This is a great matte and with fun decorative features. It is light and easy to carry, which is a plus.The only (huge) downside is the material is made of brittle "egg carton" styrofoam, which chips easy (especially if you have a dog in the house) and scratches on contact.

We have a bumpy woolen rug which is not suitable for our twin grandkids to play on. This mat is large, clean and smooth! Thanks for a great product!
