Not sure where all the concern as far as durability is coming from on other reviews but this is by far one my favorite tools in my toolbag I work in hvac and this thing can handle everything it needs to while being more capable of giving quicker and accurate measurements then other brands.the t1 an t2 feature is super helpful and the probe is super quick compared to others I've had in the past .the laser on it is just as lethal. I read the other reviews and thought I'd take the gamble and im glad I did my life just got alot easier

Use it everyday for HVAC service work. Accurate enough for that job, and simple to use. Haven’t had to change the batteries yet. Dropped multiple times including with the probe deployed and no issues.

Extremely accurate thermometer. Easy to use and very well designed.

Got this to take temperature for my job as an hvac tech. The ifr is nice for the hard to reach walk in coils. The pipe has a hook latch. And the dual temperature reading str good for checking the temperature difference. Works well. Battery has held up. The carry case is decent. It is bigger than expected.

Over the years, I’ve used a lot of tools that fall into this category. I find that Klein can be called upon when you need a quality tool at a bit higher price. This thermometer is a great tool for taking temperatures for personal or professional use. I use this as my AC Delta T tester to determine the drop across the coils. Most plenums I see today have access ports in them so I’m not going to poke a hole… but, if they don’t, I use the IR to take readings in each of the rooms to try to get a good idea of the delta T.The tool works well and seems to be accurate or at least consistent for sure. Here is where I think Klein missed the boat on this one. It should come with a holster to use with your belt/tool belt. I’ve found an old flashlight holster that I use and it is perfect. I just think that it would be well suited to add that with this kind of a tool that gets carried FAR MORE than used when you are in this kind of a situation.
