Q: Does this contain the card reader

Good evening Martin,I can confirm that the Navionics Navplanner PC does come with a card reader. I can also confirm that Navionics is an exellent company to deal with. If you have any installation problems, they couldn't be more helpful.This however is only the start of what can be an expensive process; you will also require to purchase your chart folios. I also found them to be excellent.That is the easy part. The following can be very frustrating. Navionics recommend that you purchase "The PCPLotter." and your GPS. I am now onto my third GPS; the first a Globalsat worked perfectly, but was not compatible with the PCPlotter. The second was a Haicom HI-206, don't touch this with a bargepole. The third is an Evermore SA920-USB, I haven't had a chance to set this up yet, but I'm hopeful it will be successful.I hope this is useful information; and I wish you the best of luck, and ever success.All the best,Iain

Purchased mine 08 October 2013, so don't know which version is the latest. Sorry this will be no help. However, am surprised that Amazon does not know / can't find out.

Not very happy bought this expecting to get what is shown on the second picture but all that arrived is a disc to me this is very misleading as you think your getting the card reader but you have to buy this separately
