black and white- Enjoy 4 episodes of the award winning show from the 1950s based on the novel by Kathryn Forbes. This heart warming drama depicts the lives of the Hanson family in San Francisco in the early 20th century. Delightful Peggy Wood is the loving Norwegian born matriarch of this tight knit family. Episode 1-T.R.'s Glasses- Young T.R. is not fond of the fact that he must wear eyeglasses. Mama and papa devise a way to get him to wear them. 2- Mama's Nursery School- Mama helps out a friend by taking over her nursery school for a couple of weeks. Things get a bit ugly when it's learned that the children prefer mama. 3- The Parade Grandstand- Papa is assigned to oversee the building of a parade grandstand during WW 1. The men working under him are lazy however, and they resent papa's foreign accent which they mistake for German. 4- Mama's Bad Day- Nothing seems to be going right for Mama. Dagmar doesn't want to go to school, Katrin isn't doing her piano lesson, and Nels has been caught smoking.
