I bought this to replace the foam in an existing couch cushion. (My hubby likes to sit there to watch tv and the cushion has developed permanent butt print). I was looking for something firm to stand up to repeated sittings, and this was perfect without being rock hard! I cut it to shape using an electric carving knife (not just for Thanksgiving turkeys) and it cut like a hot knife through butter. Then just spray a little 3M adhesive spray to stick the batting on the top and right back into the cushion cover. The couch looks and feels brand new and it took me less than 30 minutes to do!

6"x21"x84" upholstery foam. This foam smells very strongly. Headache inducing chemical fumes. We bought the foam to restuff a sofa. After removing it from the packaging we allowed it to off-gas in the basement but moved it to the garage because the odor was so strong. After two months in the garage we cut and replaced the cushions. Immediately it was obvious the odor was still there. We couldn't use the room without getting headaches. You can literally taste the chemical smell. It got to the point where we took out the foam and restuffed the old cushions back into the couch (thankfully we saved them just in case). The foam is back in the garage with hopes that the smell will fade after a few more months. I can't believe this is the same product others have reviewed without mentioning the smell... September to December and still unbearable. Guests have noticed without prompting.

I love this foam, it has transformed my sofa. 10 Stars!My sofa is 10 years old and I knew it needed replaced, but it was quite expensive and I still loved the style. After visiting multiple stores and hearing the order and shipping delay could be 3-4 months, I decided to restuff my current cushions while I waited for a new one.The foam arrived so quickly I got it before I could get back to the furniture store, and I'm so lucky it did. We washed the upholstery and cut the foam into 3 equal pieces. Then I took the old quilt batting that was in the original cushion, wrapped it around this new foam and inserted it into the clean upholstery. It sits better than the day it was delivered 10 years ago. This foam is dense, firm, and so comfortable. I prefer a firm cushion, both my partner and I are heavy, and this foam is incredibly supportive. It assists us in getting up off the couch because we aren't sunk down in it.I have no plans of ordering a new sofa. I think this will last for many years, I would purchase and replace again before furniture shopping.

Arrived compressed, and it started decompressing as soon as I laid it out. It was its full 1-inch thickness in about 3 minutes. It's very nice high-density foam, exactly as advertised.But for reupholstering a chair seat, we need 1.5-inch high-density foam, which seems to be very hard to find.Fortunately for me, when I took the old materials off the chair seats, I found a sheet of .5-inch foam on each one. It's low-density and old, but I'm making do with it on top of the 1-inch foam. Not optimal, but okay.Here's why we need high density: The previous chair owners kept adding another layer of low-density foam every time they recovered the seats. By the time I took ownership, the stack was 6 inches high, and yet it squashed down to almost nothing when sat on. Six inches, I kid you not. Even my cat was daunted by that height.

I didn't want to get rid of my four year old couch (it's such a cool and unique style!) but the worn cushions were killing my back and butt. This upholstery foam could not have been more perfect for bringing the comfort back. Perfect firmness, easy to cut into the exact sizes needed. Honestly, it's like a having a new sofa again. (Also couldn't believe how quickly this was shipped to me.) Very pleased all around and will be recommending this to a couple of friends who are in need of refreshing their own sofas.

Renewed my sofa and love seat with this foam cushion. Now instead of the sagging cushions I had, I have nice firm cushions. Fortunately my cushions have zippers on them making the transition easy to do. This foam is dense and when you sit on it, it only goes down a little bit. ...but it's not uncomfortable for us at all. Had to buy 2, one for sofa and love seat.

I used this foam to create a bench cushion on my old couch after the regular cushions flattened too much. I bought an inexpensive slip cover that I put over the foam and cut the foam so that it is wedged in and doesn't slide out. This turned out to be one of my better DIY projects and so much more comfortable than the old flat cushions.

Bought this to replace the original spring and foam inserts in our 8 year old couch cushions. Package arrived as described and earlier than expected. Unrolled and let acclimate for 24 hours before installing. Cut it into 3 pieces using a razor knife to fit the cushion covers. Stuffed them in the covers and filled out nicely with no wrinkles. These are very comfortable to sit on and made the couch like new again. Ordering another one to do the love seat and chair.

Pude con el cambiar todo el relleno de los cojines de mi comedor, gran producto. No creo que sea de tan alta densidad pero creo cumplirá su función y nos dará comodidad por muchos años. En casa tenemos varias alergias y asma y este producto no causa ninguna molestia u olor desagradable

Ok foam but no better than what is already in our travel trailer. Unfortunately was a waste of money
