Wet and Forget Moss, Mold, Mildew & Algae Stain Remover, 1 Gallon Concentrate Makes 6 Gallons - 4 Pack

Have a very steep painted metal roof and on the northside in the shadow of the upper floor I was growing funky algae. I'd been trying to figure out how to clean it for the past couple of years. Metal roofs and water don't mix if you value walking....even a few drop can can you over the edge. I didn't really believe the videos I'd seen of this stuff but figured I'd try it. I used a 2 gallon garden sprayer and sprayed from the windows to cover all the dirt and algae. The algae dried up and turned into powder. It still needs to be rinsed off since the rain never hits that part of the roof. Amazing stuff just wish it was cheaper.

I have patio stones and absolutely hate the moss that grows in the cracks. If you don’t get it off, it’ll overtake the patio. I also have moss that grows on the deck next to the patio. Just spray it on in and it eventually goes away. I sprayed on my siding and my eaves as well. Much easier than power washing! And I love power washing! But now with multiple spine issues, etc. making yard work easier is my goal!

Learn from my mistake: THIS IS NOT A REFILL FOR THE ROOF PRODUCT.AND THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A "BARGAIN PRICED REFILL" FOR THE W&F ROOF PRODUCT.You're either spending $30/ bottle of dark-thick-blue bottle roof product. Or you're not buying the roof product at all! (and the roof product is 3x+ concentrated as this product)ALL IN ALL - this product does work as advertised. Like thousands of consumers, I was mis-led to believe that this product would be a cheaper-per-unit refill of the Roof Product (Which is 3x concentrated as this product). NOT THE CASE.But where I did spray this product...? (patios, landscaping walls, including but not limited to one roof facing)Moss, black algae, lichens, and mold were removed.Especially when allowed to "set in" for several weeks ... And then power-sprayed with water, MONTHS LATER by a house painting crew.(As with most people who understand how this product works.. I would prefer to NOT power spray at all. But the house painters sprayed the treated surfaces (to prep for exterior painting) and AFTER power spraying some surfaces.. my Cement, 30 yrs old, Lower Ground Walk-Out Basement Stairs look like brand new. So the product loosened up years of build-up prior the power spraying. Anyone with below grade outdoor stairways knows that they tend to collect leaves, collect debris, and turn mossy-black if left unattended)TAKE NOTE - Unlike most products.. These W&F products are FUNGICIDES. They're designed to be applied on a DRY SURFACE. Applied on a cool, dry day. AND THEN you "forget" the application for 2-6 mos, allowing the natural weather cycles to do the heavy lifting.If you have years of build-up, you're instructed to do a follow-up application 4-6 mos later.You can potentially power spray the treated surfaces SEVERAL WEEKS LATER. But understand that you're potentially diluting this product's overall, long term effectiveness of a Fungicide that's supposed to "set into" the surface.Take away the W&F - and just power-spray any given surface WITHOUT a Fungicide..? You might remove the black algae, moss, mold, etc. But then those things will just grow right back all over again / and grow back immediately after power spraying.Also - power spraying an asphalt roof can take years off any given roof's life (and etch sandstone facades and patios!). So unless you're a pro and know what you're doing... These products - even when they seem expensive - they can save you bigly from expensive Screw-ups.

Not sure if it's better than a bunch of bleach.

The coverage ranges from 675 to 2000 feet with really no explanation as to how much is enough. I've started using more towards the bottom end of the range and the results are longer lasting.
