Cleans electronic devices such as contact pins, magnetic tape and disk heads such as lenses of lasers in optical disc drives. Isopropyl Alcohol is a highly versatile solvent.
A solvent for many oils, alkaloids, gums and resins, it also serves as a deicing agent for liquid fuels. Disinfect brushes and obvious cuts and tears.
Disinfectant most microorganisms cannot survive in isopropyl. Disinfectant pads usually contain a 70% solution. In 99% solution it can be used as an alternative to formaldehyde.
Solvent for inks by thinning grease and wax components and evaporating more quickly than water makes isopropyl a valuable component of inks.
