Works, but pipe threads aren't great
I use the male adapter, and was able to make it work for blowing my sprinklers out. But the threads seem a little off, and for this reason I was unable to screw it very far into my pipe fitting. Consequently, the air leaked a lot. But it still got the job done.

NOT compatible with standard 1/4" female air quick connect fittings
These are well made, and both the male and female hose versions are one piece lead-free brass construction. It would be just great if they only actually worked for their intended purpose: to reliably connect to a female 1/4" female air quick-connect fitting. No matter how hard I push, twist, or hold my tongue, I cannot get the lock on the quick-connect to slide properly into place for an air-tight connection. After some persuasion, I was able to get the air side of the male hose fitting to connect to an old, very worn-out female air quick-connect air fitting, but never achieved that with the female, maybe because of a slight tolerance difference. I did compare the sizes of these with a caliper to a known-good male air quick connect fitting and everything appeared to be within ±.001" between them, OTHER than the ridge " bump" which is noticeable even by visual inspection. If you look at the photo with 2 items, you will see a known good 1/4" male air quick connect fitting compared to this air to hose adapter. Notice that the width of the ridge on the hose adapter is much wider than the "standard" run-of- the mill fitting shown on hand at the left of the picture. This is apparently a machining or maybe mold error as another reviewer commented - I agree. The extra width of the ridge is what appears to prevent the female collar from engaging properly. The enlarged ridge is even noticeable in the item's photo now that I look at it more closely. Perhaps there are different revisions of this item out there, which may explain some of the glowing reviews. It looks like the Litorange brand makes a lot of brass connectors and specialty parts similar in size to this. Hope they figure this one out, because otherwise it's a well made item.

Amazing
I'll never go back to the old way of draining my hoses. This makes it so slick. Just have to have a compressor handy. I originally got these for blowing out my sprinklers but now I don't have sprinklers so I just them to blow out my hoses. I can even connect all my hoses and blow them out for storage. Easy.

Handy!
I promise, I wasn't... pressured... to write this review. I'm not one to... blow... sunshine where it's not deserved. These quick connect adapters work great! I was able to couple them with some quick-connect adapters I have for my hoses, and now I can quickly rid them of water and keep them outside in the winter.

Best way to drain a garden hose
I live about 45 degrees north latitude. Winterizing the home is a must. Draining the garden hose is a must and I have many times in the past rolled out the hose, disconnect from the faucet hold it high and walk the length and let gravity drain the hose. then roll it back up on the hose hanger. I have access to compressed air so I purchased these connectors. This is a good thing and I can drain the hose in seconds without taking it off the hose reel. Big time saver. Caution: make sure your foot is on the end of the hose as it has a tendency to flip about when most of the water is discharged.

Easy to winterize RV
Purchased to push water out of RV plumbing system. With these, I was able to connect my air compressor and open up all valves in RV with a single person. Gets airtight seal on both ends. Also have used to clear water from hoses before putting away for winter and my irrigation system at home.

What I was expecting
These are fine, nothing fancy.Blew out my in ground sprinkler.Saved $120 on the landscaping contractor coming to do it... I already have a big shop compressor so it makes sense. Year in and out that will add up. It's easy to do.

Great adaptor
This adapter is great. Use to have to take an old garden hose and make my own changeover to blow my cabin water lines down in the fall. This adapter eliminates that step

One of the two fitting with flaws
One of two fittings had poor quality. Should still work. Luckily it isn’t the one I need at the moment. The one that did work, fit perfectly
