I have stick straight shoulder length hair. I use with styling product on damp hair. Curls last for days. I would never be able to sleep on these however! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to use, but not for everyone *by M***Y on December 29, 2021* I bought these wanting something more structured for vintage type curls. Generally I do like them and have used them for a couple weeks, however I do think there's a bit of a learning curve and these will absolutely not be ideal for everyone. A couple things: - The curlers are some kind of metal mesh, with stiff plastic bristles. These are not sleep-in, both because they are horribly uncomfortable to rest your head on, and because that pressure will warp the curlers. I have successfully used these are sleep-in curlers for the top of my head (with actual pillow curlers everywhere else), though even that YMMV. - The bristles will help catch and hold your hair on the curler, because you're essentially velcro-ing your hair to them. If you have ever caught your hair up in a round brush, that can totally happen with these. I find rolling up very easy, and removing much more of a skill. If you have easily tangled hair, you will absolutely lose some with these. - I find the pins incredibly effective.
